Ascension 2019!

During the Elder Wars, the Goddess Kaenalye was hidden in a bubble of alternate reality known as Lyraa Ey Rielys, which was out of phase from the rest of reality; thus, hiding her from the Soulless Gods. However, this secure zone also became her prison, as she was trapped there through the aeons. Like many Elder Gods before her, her form splintered. These divine splinters solidified into a new mortal race, known as the kaelye. The ecosystem that formed in Lyraa Ey Rielys was completely alien from that of the First World. When Lyraa Ey Rielys tried to come out of phase, it did so in the same location as the First World itself, slowly releasing the bizarre ecosystem into the Basin of Life, which caused a series of catostrophes throughout both worlds. Eventually, Lyraa Ey Rielys was pushed into aetherspace but not before weakening the Nine Seals that held the Soulless Gods. As stated in the histories under Coming of Estarra, when the Nine Seals are weakened, there is only one way that they can be recharged: through the ascension of a mortal!

Schedule of Ascension Events

Beginning in February, there will be nine challenges, each representing the nine seals. The winner of a challenge will be marked by that seal and receive a special honour. At the end of the nine challenges, there will be a final challenge whereby one of the nine winners shall arise to become a True Ascendant! Trial of Chaos

Date: February 9, 2019
Time: 8:00 a.m. PST
Description: Amidst the hundreds of hamsters released during this challenge, the Purple Hamster of Chaos will be hidden amongst this furry hoard. This is not as easy as it seems as the Purple Hamster of Chaos is not as easy to hold as one might imagine! Whoever holds the purple hamster at the end of the challenge will receive the Seal of Chaos.

Trial of Harmony

Date: February 9, 2019
Time: 3:00 p.m. PST
Description: This challenge will test the skill of influencing. Whoever influences the most denizens will receive the Seal of Harmony.

Trial of Nature

Date: February 10, 2019
Time: 3:00 p.m. PST
Description: Who knows the geography of Lusternia best? This challenge consists of a scavenger hunt to find out the answer. The winner will receive the Seal of Nature.

Trial of Knowledge

Date: February 16, 2019
Time: 12:00 p.m. PST
Description: This challenge is a rigorous quiz about the nature of Lusternia and its history. The winner receives the Seal of Knowledge.

Trial of Life

Date: February 17, 2019
Time: 10:00 a.m. PST
Description: Who can save the most denizens? The winner receives the Seal of Life.

Trial of Death

Date: February 17, 2019
Time: 1:00 p.m. PST
Description: A rather dark challenge: whoever kills the most denizens wins the challenge and receives the Seal of Death.

Trial of Justice

Date: February 23, 2019
Time: 11:00 a.m. PST
Description: Using the skills of debate, contestants will see who will come up on top in a series of debate challenges. The winner will receive the Seal of Justice.

Trial of Beauty

Submissions Open: February 2, 2019
Deadline: February 16, 2019
Winner Announced: February 24, 2019
Description: The Trademaster of each trade cartel may submit one design (either public or cartel-specific) on behalf of the cartel. The artist of that design must be specified as it needn’t be the Trademaster. For example, Trademaster Tom of the Lollipop cartel may submit a design and specify Jane as the artist. If that design wins, Jane would be considered the winner of the challenge. To enter, the Trademaster should message the Charites with the Cartel’s entry and specify who the artist is at that time. The winner of this challenge will receive the Seal of Beauty. Note: Don’t submit a design for the contest until the Charites make an announcement.

Trial of War

Date: March 2, 2019 (if needed, also March 3, 2019)
Time: 11:00 a.m. PST
Description: A double elimination style tournament will be held among all competing teams across two days. Teams of three will battle it out with the slaughter culminating in the championship match on Sunday. The winner, selected from the winning team either by unanimous vote or through a FFA, will receive the Seal of War.

Final Trial: Ascension

Date: March 9, 2019
Time: 11:00 am PST
Description: The Nine Seals will merge together and form the Staff of Ascension. The staff can only be held by the nine challenge winners who are marked by one of the seals. When the staff is released onto the astral plane, it cannot be taken off of the astral plane. Whichever of the nine winners holds the staff for one full Lusternian day shall arise to become the True Ascendant!

Daily Credits Coming!

Lusternia will go completely free-to-play sometime in February, wherein players can earn credits in-game on a daily basis as well as organizations receiving credit rewards every two weeks (approximately). You will still be able to purchase credits online and sign up for an elite membership, but this will mark a new phase of Lusternia’s evolution.

• February 1-28: For the month of February, you can purchase heart arrows directly on the website. Heart arrows will receive special promotional boxes, participate in daily contests of who can shoot or be shot by arrows, and even get a special honour. Also, a 30% credit bonus sale (40% for elite membership) applies to all credit purchases. Heart arrows and credit packages are both available on the Credit Page!
