So there is obviously Pyromancy and Aeromancy that was listed in history but there is one skill in Particular that has piqued my interest and I would really like to delve deeper into it. It's the one that Lolly said Emperor Ladantine was adept at, a forgotten art and I can't find the exact name but it was like "Dreamweaving" or "Dreamwalking" It basically has me transfixed.

I loved that skill, if it was anything like Jagang in the Sword of Truth series, should be quite interesting, he was a Dream walker.

I would think dreamwalking would be its own plane where your body stays in the Prime plane, sleeping and you can enter a mirror image of the world and go around doing stuff. That would be cool!

Syntax: EVOKE KETHER
Kether is the highest sphere of the cabala, representing the Crown of Power.
Evoking its pure spiritual energy can damage those who are out of phase or in a
dreambody.

I thought the last part of that AB file was rather interesting in relation to Dreamwalkers.

Yeah! I saw that as well and I am REALLY curious about this particular skill.

If it's anything like Jagang in the Sword of Truth series, it will be ridiculously, ridiculously overpowered *duck*

Erm, where do you read about all these in the History? o.o
Unknown2004-11-02 16:54:35
I couldn't locate it again but it's in Lolly Pringle's Memoirs and it starts out something like, "People think the Undead can't speak but the Emperor would sit motionless for hours, the fire in his eyes dim" or something like that and Lolly discusses Dreamwalking and abhorring the skill....it's there.
Unknown2004-11-02 16:58:28
Ooh, thanks. I'll go kill a few hours there, then.
Unknown2004-11-02 17:01:54
Yeah! Specifically that would be the History of the Celestine Empire if you are curious and I think that it is somewhere around the Taint War area.

"Perhaps looking back on it, I should have realized the Emperor, adept at so many lost arts, was also a dreamwalker, having mastered that rare and strange magic called dreamweaving which few mages even knew about and fewer still ever studied. They tell me now that it is a lost art, and if so, one that I will not mourn.

At the time, though, the Undead Emperor put his arcane skills to good use, dreamwalking unnoticed through Gaudiguch, spying upon the meetings of the Gaudiguch Council, conferring with the Undead Council, and sending messages to the ur’Guard. When Lord General Iborchi summoned me, I was surprised when the Emperor offhandedly dismissed me but when I was in the sitting room alone with the huge dracnari, the Emperor’s presence flowed into me and my spirit was pushed to the side. I had no control of my body and, however much I wanted to scream and warn the Gaudiguch of the threat of the Emperor, I had no control of my tongue which responded only to the Emperor’s will, forcing me to say what the he commanded, spewing the absurd senseless story that the Emperor and his Undead Council concocted."

As fun as that would be, I'm dying to see the Lake and Night totem specializations, to see what they can do... Especially what ents they introduce to Wicca!
Unknown2004-11-05 23:25:34
I want to see a new Archetype that's something like a blend between a Warrior and a Mage. Like a Fighter/Mage from D&D. For instance, in Magnagora it could be Knightood > Blademaster/Bonecrusher, High Magic > Cosmic > Geomancy, and Illusions.
Unknown2004-11-05 23:52:19
I'd like to see a Subterfuge-like Skill... we REALLY need a rogue-class...

Primary Skill: Subterfuge
------------- Specialization:
---------------------------- Spycraft(Spying/Infiltration - Eavesdrop and such)
---------------------------- Thiefcraft(Theft/Assassination - Backstab, Garrote and such)
Secondary Skills: Athletics and Illusions
They'd have a choice between High Magic or Low Magic, but obviously Low Magic would be required if they wanted to take poisons.

I, for one, am hoping for a more scientific approach. After reading through the Histories and noticing the Matrix Research Institute of Hallifax, I was hoping my Dream would come true.

I was thinking Skillsets might chart out such as this...

Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (Hell yeah, I'm creative.)

Biology--
Specializes into:
Botany
Zoology

Chemistry--
Specializes into:
Quantum
Classic

Physics--
Specializes into:
Machinery
Luminology

=/ I suppose that would work.
