I was wondering if someone could explain for me the concept of "Power Points" (of which I possess 10), "Reserves" (which have been at 4% for as long as I can remember), and how they are related? I know you can gain power points from your Nexus, and that Reserves are somehow involved with Astral Nodes, but could anyone elaborate?

The help files are not clear on the matter.

Certain skills and abilities require Power to use. You can get this by linking to your Nexus or astral nodes. Reserves are just backup Power. If you maintain your link to the Nexus or node and get more then 10 Power, your reserves start to fill up. When you use Power the reserves will be used to fill it back up to 10.

Also, if you're wondering what a feat was, it's just an ability that needs power to use. Maybe it's just me, but the help file sort of confused me on that, I kept trying to work out how to learn feats and so on. It's just like a normal skill though.

1% reserves is equal to 2 power points. Which means even if you use all 10 of your power, you will only use up 5% of your reserves refilling it.

Also, you can fill your reserves from your Nexus, most of us just have limits to what we can get from it in a particular period of time for social and legal reasons.

Yes, you can link to astral nodes if you have the requisite skills to increase your power/reserves.

I gather that there are enemies who drain power from you. In light of this, is it wise to fill your reserves up to 100% over a long period of time?

yep also its rumour, so not sure if its true but supposedly, the more power points you have in your reserve, the better the outcome of influence battles

I know that clothing and such can affect influencing. For example, if you have on lavish clothing, it's harder to beg.

I'm always naked. Does that mean when influencing, the influencee cringe and concede defeat?

No, it means that you look like a jackass and get laughed at. HELP EGOBATTLES and HELP CLOTHING.

But tae'daes are never really naked...it is all about the furriness.

Yeah, if you walk around like a royalty, it's much harder to beg than when you're naked.
