Ok, guys this might sound like i'm just whineing and being power hungry, but i'm really not. See the thing is that I don't think the secretaries in this realm have as much err..ability to do things as in other realms, that I think we could really use. This early on only 3 people can favour, your champion, your administrator, and your GuildMistress. 3 people can kick someone from the guild in emergency. My idea is to let secretaries get guild Favour/Disfavour ability and Guild eject ability because I don't know, I figure for the job they are doing, they should just have those privillages, what do you all think? good idea or bad idea?
Oh, and I think Security should be able to eject from guild also if they can't already.
(Author's note: Stagar does not intend to disguild anyone, or at this time have any intention/hope to do so. This is just a priviledge I think all secretaries could use)

Secretaries do get the ability to favor, at grank 5. In the beginning yes, only three people could favor, but the beginning will never happen again. And as things progress more people will be able to favor.

That's why most guilds have GFd their Secretaries up to GR5.
stagar2004-11-09 17:43:58
hmm, well granted their won't be a "in the beginning" again, and you could just favour em up to GR5. However, their is always chance of a secretary being replaced, (the guard have replaced TWO already from people leaving), so thats why I suggested it, but what about the other point, I think secretaries should be able to guild eject, It just seems to me like something that is within our rights as a guild leader.
Qoute of the reply:
*unspoken guy from my Order*: Stagar, really I need money like you need the scabies

As far as ejection, I agree and disagree which is why I didn't answer it earlier. Secretaries in some circumstances may need to eject someone, but at the same time, I don't see why they can't message the guld administrators so that they can handle it.

The secs should have the ability to do things without a high gr. Like most other positions, they need to be able to do thier job.
And sorry I got out man... I wasn't growing at all in that position, and I saw something fun, interesting, challenging, and unlike anything I'd done before.

They can do their job without being able to outguild people... The process of outguilding should be such a rare occurence that if it should arise ever it should be run past the guild administration.

Problem is, usually when you need to outguild somebody (for example, is being a teleport target in the guildhall and allowing all kinds of evilishly people to come in and kill people, and the guildhall isn't monolithed before somebody says anything) you need to do it fast. Not wait until the Administrator/GM comes. Protectors should be able to outguild (security after all has more to do with the city), as well as secretaries.
Usually when you can take the time to talk to the Admin about somebody, that person won't be outguilded, but talked to, or will quit him/herself. Besides, if somebody is really a problem to the guild, you need him/her outcitizened too to make sure he doesn't keep all their skills (imagine a guildmate who just went mad and is killing all aquamancer on sight).

Well, the thing is if you abuse your right to out-guild as a secretary, you can lose your job as a secretary. if you REALLY abuse it, you may very well get shrubbed. However, the emergency situation comes up, this person needs removed now and you can't wait for the admin to come in realms. Example would be like someone has just gone into a frenzy, (novice idiot proably) and is just totally being OOC and swearing up a storm or being racial ect, you all know the thing i'm talknig about on gnt and they are just out of control. You, as a secretary have a duty to keep the control in the guild when your GM isn't around, or your admin. Thus you should have the authority to act as they would in their absence.
But remeber, you disguild someone, you better have a REALLY good reason because most GM's will not tolerate their secretaries abuseing such a deadly power.

There is no reason for an emergency outguilding since nothing happens to a person when they are outguilded... except losing a channel.

with the novice situation, if a novice gets REALLY out of hand you get one of the guides to dump them in time, untill they can be dealt with by an admin.
