Ok, forgive me if this has been asked before. But, why -only- either marry or bloodbond to form a family. Silas and Andes have been Rping brothers since opening day, but I wanted to found the Delain family with Jem. Might it be possible to consider sibling? Even if it restricts the amount of siblings you can consider....

You can bloodbond with brothers or sisters.
QUOTE
4.11.1 BLOODBOND
Syntax:
 o BLOODBOND WITH - forms a bloodbond
 o BLOODBOND BREAK     - breaks a bloodbond
An alternative method of forming families requires two siblings rather than a
married couple. First, they must form a bloodbond and recognize each other as
potential siblings. Similar to considering parents, bloodbond siblings must
consider each other as their memories are fogged by the Portal of Fate.
There are several requirements before being able to be bloodbonded.

you can't bloodbond if you're married.

Hm... Bloodbonding was created, if I understand correctly, to allow people to create a family with a brother or a sister. You have to be bloodbonded and have formed a family before you can marry, if you want to have a sibling in your family without having parents.
Unfortunately, if you're already married, you can't do that... not sure if there's a workaround.

Bloodbonding only allows two siblings, too. It would be cool to have as many as you want.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but I believe if you bloodbond with someone, you can later break the bond and form a new family with a spouse. You'll no longer have the original family that you made with the sibling, but you'll still be considered brother and sister, if you look up your family relation with them. Am I off the mark here?

Actually Lyren, I believe you can bloodbond then marry without breaking the family.

What happens if a founding sibling marries a founding sibling of another family and goes to that family? Does the family they left stay in tact, even if their sibling is the only member?
Also, I love that you can only bloodbond one sibling. Families had too many origional siblings on Imperian. Now, if one of those first siblings wants to have 10 kids, go for it.

Since nobody answered his question I will
You can't do bloodbonding and marriage at the same time because over times families get "points" for size and longevity. Being able to do both at the same time gives people an unfair advantage where like you said you can bloodbond then marry and the person your marrying could bloodbond who could marry etc... till you have a family of 20 people or more in a span of 24 months.

Oh, you can, I just meant if you wanted to start a new family with your spouse, that you couldn't remain part of your old family as well.

Can't do that, if you're a part of a family and your spouse isn't, your spouse becomes a part of your family.
