Tae'dae are supposedly "the tanks" In older versions of Tae'dae they had health regeneration but that was thought it would make them too powerfull. So is that still true, would it be almost stupid for a tae'dae to NOT get regeneration rings?

Are ingame enchantments good enough for that advantage? Or would those regeneration rings be just as usefull to a Dae'dae as any other race because extra health or mana regeneration never hurt?

Thats what I'm trying to figure out. Oh and I'm refering to the new artifact regeneration rings.

The more health or mana you have, the more you benefit from regeneration. Races like Igasho and Tae'dae will therefore benefit from health regeneration more than anyone else, insofar as anyone finds regeneration usefull at all...and I've never been without my Mercy and Perfection enchantments, even when I had 10 constitution. If you can get regeneration, get as much as you can.

Skills will serve you far better than any artifact.

Indeed! Except when the thread topic is how well regeneration works with Tae'dae wink.gif

Well, a poll option is to spend on skills instead smile.gif

a sip ring however would entirely unbalance a tae'dae warrior

I don't know this for sure, and I've not been in realms since new artifacts were added really, so I could be wrong...but my guess is that the maximum for sip benefits will stack but not exceed 3, just like racial regen levels. In which case, a sip ring would be utterly useless for a tae'dae warrior, as they would get exactly 0 benefit.

Again, I could be wrong, this is a supposition.

    exceed level 3.

So I assume no bonuses can exceed level 3, including sipping ones. Ideally you would want to purchase 1 Ring of Vigor and 1 Ring of Vitality, to reach the level 3 bonus. That, plus mercy, on a Tae'dae, would allow them to heal massive chunks of health.

Can general regeneration stack with specific, however? For example, if a Viscanti wears enough rings for level 3 regen, plus his racial level 3 regen in tainted land, will he have 6 regeneration in tainted land?

5.1.1 Regeneration of Health: Notes

Health regeneration - "How quickly does your health rise when you are damaged?"

WHAT ALWAYS AFFECTS HEALTH REGENERATION
---------------------------------------
enchanted items with mercy charges
boost and regeneration abilities

WHAT AFFECTS HEALTH REGENERATION WITHIN LIMITS
----------------------------------------------

Racial bonus to health regen: 1-3 levels
merchant enchantment: 1 level

The total of levels that will affect health regen is 3. Having a total of
levels beyond 3 is allowed, but will not increase health regeneration
rates.

---

Abilities do not count towards the limit. Tree spiritbond, Honour, things like that. I wouldn't know if there's a limit to 'sip bonus levels', though I'm sure an answer could be gleaned from Those In Charge, or a test be allowed.
