Dracnari Nomads vs. Mesa

by Faethan

Back to Common Grounds.

Today the dracnari nomads went and attacked the Mesa, I was in the area and decided to help out the nomads and killed most of the trill and lucidians. Did anyone else see this? There were dracnari and trill bashing each other out in the middle of the desert...It also coincided with a movement of the dracnari camp, which makes me wonder if it was a special event or simply part of a cycle of dracnari movement.

On a side note, there's these new crystal cacti in the desert, along with some new critters. I really like them, kudos to the divine!

There's a ton of interesting activity in the desert, except no one seems to have noticed because they're all caught up in politics. ohmy.gif

Either that or no on cares about the poor lost descendents of Gaudiguch or Hallifax contrary to what some people have expressed.......

I've seen someone riding a...daisho, I think it's spelled? And the wild wakabi, cacti, and the reptiles-that-aren't-daisho (my memory is terrible, forgive me) were lots of fun to find. Is this a sign of potential expansion of the nomad and mesa areas, or are we just going to have to wait and see?

Hrm. Now I want to go poke around the Ethereal Glomdoring to see if anything's showed up there...

I've done a lot of exploring in the desert, and have noticed many developments, the mesa is getting larger, adding Projects Red, Blue and Yellow, as well as adding some Lucidian guards. I've noticed the nomads moving about, learning how to team me sad.gif and adding a bunch of guards. Teaka also seems to have disappeared for some time, along with Noth's ebony wakabi. Though Teaka made a return today. I'm very corious as to what these cacti are, as they seem to be conected to the Mesa research. I'm also curious as to who the heck this crazy Cle lady is...

Well, rule 1, I think we can't do anything during winter.
Faethan2004-11-23 06:19:30
Like...OOC winter? That's a long time.
Unknown2004-11-23 16:04:57
IC winter I think - the cacti are hibernating right now
Estarra2004-11-23 20:08:25
Actually, its only autumn. The cactus are out! Winter doesn't start until a few more months (see HELP CALENDAR), so there's still a little time to find the Hand!
Akraasiel2004-11-23 20:17:17
Ack, why am I always gone when the events that most closely concern me are beginning. Off to the desert!
Veonira2004-11-23 21:00:08
Heh. I have noticed the Lucidian have joined the Trill in the Mesa, but I've been more caught up in influencing villages and guild stuff to be able to explore. That's really interesting though, now I'll be keeping an eye out on it.
Faethan2004-11-23 21:23:28
Makes me wish I wasn't enemied to both the dracnari and the mesa, but they're the only decent bashing I've found, and are responsible for 30 of my levels...I would try to get unenemied, but its too expensive to even try to figure out how much it'd cost. Apparently 5k is not enough and I'm not gonna play trial and error with larger amounts. I'll probably just make an alt to go play in the desert with....*sigh*

I just figured out how this all works together and I gotta say..

Way cool cool.gif cool.gif

Ack, I love the Serenwilde, hate the Serenwilders. They are talking about actively opposing the Seekers of the Flame...we are getting closer to it though. If we dont get the city started soon though, im gonna be killed back down again, bleh.
Richter2004-11-24 09:00:32
Yes... they will oppose the Gaudiguch clan, then the Hallifax clan. Oh look, the Glomdoring clan is already enemied. Why stop there? They should enemy every member of Celest, Magnagora, maybe even Glorianna someday!

Gotta love logic.

Dunno quite know the details here, but in a general sense, if there are those who oppose all cities, it makes some sense to oppose the return of the two lost cities of the Empire.
Hiriako2004-11-24 16:23:55
I do oppose them, there is reason I'm enemied to both the Mesa Compound and the Nomads. *hum*

I find it mildly amusing that a lot of people in Serenwilde were actively trying to get the Hand until I started shouting and mocking them ohmy.gif
Estarra2004-11-24 18:12:12
On the other hand, commune members who are lucidian, trill or dracnari may have somewhat a conflict of interest in opposing the return of the lost cities.
Hiriako2004-11-24 19:14:31
Quite true, Estarra. My character thought he was Lucidian (RPing his discovery of changeling form...) until recently, but seeing the destruction of the cities and the shearing of Hallifax and Gaudiguch from reality, he really has to wonder if it -would- be good to return them, or if the realm would be better off without.
