Will there be any more changes to the mage archetypes (namely Aquamancers and Geomancers)? It seems to be that a few minor adjustments were made to the Aquamancers and then focus was switched to the forestal classes (Who, by the way, were never really hurting in the balance department).
Unknown2004-12-07 04:30:20
Each archtype will get fixes and new skills thoughout the history of lusternia, if you have a problem with one of your skills or have ideas for new ones then alert your enovys.
Geb2004-12-07 04:45:53
Shiro, did that question even seem like it was directed to you? Do you have any control over the development plan of this game? If not, I suggest you allow those who do to answer a question that is obviously directed towards them.

it was an oppinion, no need to get snippy.

One little coder was working on mages.
And one little coder was working on totems.
The little coder working on totems needed help from the coder working on mages.
Are our little coders finished coding?
Why do players beat up on our little coders?

The geomancers will take a while to digest since their envoy posted a treatise on par with the Summa Theologica. And there is another leftover aquamancy thing that was delayed due to needing some additional discussions, and also something more complex that will be targeting both mancers. Though wiccans and druids are not hurting for power, the knights that use the Totem specializations were behind the Paladins and Ur'Guard due to having only half a skillset worth of skills. Hence the focus on those.

<---Geomancers seeing the report that was put in
Hiriako2004-12-07 15:04:21
Hee, I was sorely, sorely tempted to write a report like that. I wanted to put in so much detail, the thing would have been longer than my term paper. But I figured I could use without a severe divine thwapping...
By the way, a few emotes to show my gratitude:
Coders:
And for those who constantly complain that things aren't done fast enough:
Option 1:
Option 2:
Or my favorite:
Option 3:
A round of applause for those working so hard for us all!

Any chance a portion of that report can go on the envoy board so we know what not to do?

I have an idea for a skill for the aquamancers, what if they had the ability to place a dead aqua animal within their demense and be able to control it for a short time or until its dead. Minus the sharks of course.
Unknown2004-12-07 16:59:29
Hartstone needed a few skills added, since there were only ten in stag. I think that's a sign that they've got past the easy stuff, and they'll be finishing up on Aquamancers and starting on Geomancers soon.

That would be some damn short control, given you only have them until they're dead. And they're already dead. Given they're, as per you, "dead aqua animals". Poor aminals.

To Estarra:
In quality of my companion Geb, seeing we are both Aquamancers, forgive us if we sound desperate. You see having abilities that leave you NOT on par with the rest of Lusternia can be frustrating at times. However Im very sure Geb, as am I, are well pleased that at least the Aquamancers are being taken note. We however hope that the changes seen as of now are not the only changes to grace the Aquamancers Guild. Thank you for the efforts of coders.
As for suggestions:
It is not refined yet.
Jellies
The jellies would constant afflict in 4 or 5 second basis with sensitivity, asthma, epilepsy, itching, scabies, pox and paralysis. These are given randomly. All these effects of afflictions come from the fact that the Jellies are poisonous. These venoms affect skin and nervous system. The messages from Jellies are a bit similar and vague like in order to make healing a bit hard but not impossible. Stun is eliminated in its entirety. So is any damage Jellies could or where capable of dealing so they are now effectively Affliction dealing on a constant basis randomly.
Pets
The stun removed from Jellies could be given to pets instead. Nominally pets can do attack or stun. If they are put on aggresive they do not stun. When they stun they will also leave you prone (sprawled). Keep in mind and order to STUN target would take balance.
