I remember for the first few years of Achaea, many people rarely made it over 60 while all the initial events were going on. It was great, no having to deal with the 6k+ folks you have running around there now, with arties galore and such.
I'm already Level 67 (due to not much else going on in my characters life) and I'm ranking in the high 30's early 40's. I have no idea what the 1st or 2nd ranked people are at levelwise, but wanted to know your feelings on it.
I have 3.5 k health with no con additions....weathering alone gives me 3.7k, and with yellow and surge...well in the upper 4k range.
General thoughts/discussion? My main concern being there is going to be a ton of tanks walking around soon, much faster than maybe intended. These individuals buy a few arties, and you have the same problems that Achaea has combatwise...a few dominating folk who frustrate everyone else. There are many good fighters there, but we all know the various artie folk I'm talking about.

My char fights an average amount, and I lose 40-50% when dying twice (vitae then die again). Almost level 69 again ::shrugs::.

My character's currently level 39, and I got that quick for me, thanks to the holidays and my parents are still at work . Usually, I can get no more than one hour per day on the internet.
I'm not sure how many hours/day that is... wait....
It's been about 65ish days I think since it opened, so thats.... about 1 1/2 hours a day.

You have played for a total of 4 days, 13 hours and 42 minutes.

Yeah, I don't play as much as I wish I could.
I remember Sudoxe and Dias in the 70's, I'm assuming the top player(s) is/are around upper 80's right now?

Last I heard, Daevos was level 80something, but I might well be misinformed. Or they might have been exaggerating.
Melanchthon2004-12-11 10:25:58
Even in Astral, hunting is painfully slow. Going at the rate I am now, I figure it will take about 3000 hours of play time to reach 100 as an upper limit, depending on a few things.
Kaervas2004-12-11 11:42:17
Melanchthon, Sudoxe, Dias, Aesyra and Eiru are all level 80 or above. I'm 46% away from level 80 right now, and bashing is getting really boring (hence why I don't bash half as much as I used to).
Sudoxe2004-12-11 12:13:30
I pretty much stopped bashing in order to let the astral nodes recharge for a while, and today I'm happy to find several at crackling, including my favourite.
Having started bashing again as a result, it's nice to have some gold again.
As for total time, well, it's about 4% for an hour of bashing right now, and only when I'm really bored will I do more than 10% a day.

My crappy tae'dae-druid damage means I won't be bashing on anything other than the Razines for a long time to come. Combine that with level 3 experience gain disadvantage, the likelihood of me being first Titan is rather small.
Meh.
Meh.
Vesar2004-12-11 13:34:31
Vesar is level 62 and is ranked 65 now and bashes almost exclusively on Astral. Before level 50, however, he exclusively incfluenced in the villages. After 50, he noticed the rewards from influencing dropped considerably and took up bashing on Astral.
Sylphas2004-12-11 14:47:56
It's rather annoying that Serens can't get to Astral without help, or all but transing Planar.
Shiri2004-12-11 14:53:12
Paladins and Ur'Guard can't even do that. I see your point, but they're worse off. Serenguard are worst of all off. =/
Unknown2004-12-11 16:50:20
About to be level 54 which is pretty good for someone who doesnt bash much. (and Im not human nor ever been) What the heck do you want level 100 for anyways? Getting something yummy with it?? Cause then whatcha gonna do when you get it??? Sit on your butt?? or take other people bashing?? I mean... unless you have other stuff to do.. lots of other stuff.. arent ya gonna get bored?
Shiri2004-12-11 16:54:21
There's lots of other stuff to do once you have level 100 Just go on Achaea and ask a dragon. PKing with new awesome stats, if nothing else
Unknown2004-12-11 17:00:23
heh. Theres a reverse to that. Theres a few I know that think its boring and if they werent stuff in their city/guild theyd stop playing all together
Iridiel2004-12-15 16:08:50
One of the objectives you can have in Lusternia is getting to level 100, so when you put a check on that particular objective, then you must go looking for others. But I somehow doubt they have any problem doing so when they get there... You can always work for your guild/city, helping people rank, Pk as a madman, use your top-basher level to get a political position, or just retire and have fun Rping and having a family.
That's the best thing of lusternia, lots and lots of different aspects of the game makes it almost never ending.

Its all about becoming a Lord of Creation.
And of course, Titan, but that goes without saying. I just want to see what that's all about. Heh. And not having that many lessons used since I don't buy credits for RL money, yet still being that high of a level would be interesting.

I just leveled up 5 levels (39 - 44) in one month (RL day), all just completely from ratting . That's the most amount of levels I've ever leveled in a month.

Devris, I totally know what you mean about achaea. I was playing it about 4 years ago (I think). There were only a few people intoning, I don't remember anyone who was resounding. The people who got above level 70 were pk masters, and people who did nothing but bash. Those who were into pk were limited in that they would get to a level where it might take 50 odd kills to get a level, but one death would take that away.
The threat now is people like Dias who (if he actually cared to bash) would have level 100 in no time, and be an awesome combatant to go with it. High levels are no longer only for bash happy people who have no combat skill. Just like achaea, there will come a point where level 100 is a -requirement- to be a good fighter. But that's ok, just as with achaea, we will see it becoming more attainable in Lusternia eventually. Mobs giving more exp, easier to bash, more bashing areas and what not.
EDIT: I believe it is critical hits that have made level 100 so attainable.

Currently achaea is more difficult to bash than lusternia, more people and almost everythign groups, or enemies you like our villages do. Only good place to bash at high levels is Underworld, and that means being a good PKer, or having lots of friends, due to that open pk thing.
