No particular order.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera"
William Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice"

Phantom... I have to drive out to LA for it though... *hates LA*

I too am looking forward to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think Tim Burton will make it alot more like the books (I hope they put more stuff in from Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator). Although who doesn't love the Gene Wilder version.. either way Wonka is a win!

Uh...Advent Children.
Yup, that's the only film I even KNOW about that's coming out in the next few years. Also that "Something's Amulet" from that book about genies that I was reading today and looked really awesome and said there was a movie coming out on the front cover.

Gene Wilder is crazy enough to play Willy Wonka, which is why it was so good. I love Roald Dahl's books...and am looking forward to this version! The trailer is on the 'net now, though I don't have a link handy (I'm at work). The only thing which makes me kinda nuts is the song in it. At least it's appropriate for Oopma Loompas.

Definitely Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Perhaps Willy Wonka, not so sure after I saw the trailer. =\\ I just can't see Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka anymore. (trailer's on Yahoo! movies for those who haven't seen it).

Besides that, Merchant of Venice is coming out this year, and I still need to drag myself to the theater to see Underwater Adventure or whatever that is with Bill Murray.

EDIT - And Phantom. Duh.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

I'm up in the air about it, mostly due to the relation to the Royal Tenenbaums which was just bizarre. Still dont' know if I like that one or hate it.
Tavon2004-12-14 20:18:03
Yes, it was bizarre, but it was funny. Seriously, Bill Murray is a great actor. I don't know if there's any movie he was in that wasn't funny/something else. And his offbeat ones are my favorite. (Rushmore, Royal Tenebaums, Lost in Translation was amazing, see it if you haven't already)

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Phantom of the Opera
The Incredibles
Tentatively, Ocean's 12.
tarquin2004-12-14 22:49:58
all of the above and don't forget Sponge Bob Square Pants the movie which hasn't been released in NZ yet, also don't forget about Kung Pow 2, I am peeing my pants waiting for that silly movie!
Richter2004-12-14 23:41:38
I was beaten to it.

Advent Children, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Soril2004-12-15 01:12:20
Hmm... Let's see...

* Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (go Burton and Depp - winning combination!)
* Final Fantasy: Advent Children (release it already!)
* House of Flying Daggers (more of the same from the guys that made 'Hero')
* The Aviator (Scorcese! Scorcese! Yes, I love the man's films)
* Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (please, for the love of God, don't let Lucas mess this one up!)
* Hitchhiker's Guide... (because I loved the TV series, and the books are some of my all-time favourites)

Veonira2004-12-19 10:40:46
Phantom of the Opera and Meet the Fockers. I pretty much want to see every movie that's out now.

I saw Spanglish, by the way, and it was really good.
