Ok What does everyone think about stealing.
I just got stolen from, and killed the guy who did it (a novice ---can you say ALT? tried to qq on me)
So i kill him and im on suspect, surely a single death is not enough punishment for stealing.
Perhaps some way of finding out (maybe issues for stealing) the punishment being not being able to access the avenger for 30 RL days.
As it is if he doesn't repay the goods he will be slain by everyone in the empire....you dont steal from the empire.

how can you steal in Lusternia?
are there any command/force abilities like in Achaea? or is it by putting on you that affliction that makes you remove clothing and equipment?

Let's try not to turn this into Achaea.
"If you have something over 1000gold in value stolen from you, the person is Fair Game until such time as a third moon rises above the continent, and then only you can hunt unless you get your friends to JOIN MARK and hunt them with you. If what the person stole is in excess of 50,000gold, only people with exactly 40 hours of playtime may hunt..." etc.

Heh, yeah, whenever they got their legal team to put together a package of PK offenses is when Achaea technically fell off its rocker
As for stealing, I believe only a select few guilds can use force command skills, and then the timing must be -perfect- to steal against anyone with the simplest of reflexes for rewearing.

it's so easy to prevent getting stolen from. kill the person once and move on. unless they stole 50,000 ...which you may wanna kill yourself for being stupid
Shiri2004-12-20 18:04:31
I've never seen anyone other than a Moondancer with Pooka do a force command. Oh, and Leprechauns to a lesser extent steal gold in piddly small increments. I could be wrong, but I don't think any other archetype can force...maybe a Celestine? *hm*
Unknown2004-12-20 18:05:45
Celestines should be able to use the force command; but no they can't
Sylphas2004-12-20 22:25:55
Nihilists can force as well. Moondancers are just the best at it. We get vestiphobia, pooka, and leprechaun. Although the leprechaun does only steal like 25 gold at a time, the other two would work well for theft.
Ethelon2004-12-21 00:45:21
aye, us old people think before we speak....or think we think before we speak, either way.....bleh, I'm sure I will fall over dead soon

Bloody hell, what's wrong with you man? You want everything to be boosted for your class. Shuddup already! the pointless 'celestines should have' posts you make everywhere get a teeny bit annoying.
Richter2004-12-21 00:54:26
I always wanted to be able to steal... Although most people when they say "steal" means they were dumb enough to be killed with gold not in thier pack. Which strangely enough, just happened to me twice, with about 30k.
Murphy2004-12-21 02:06:41
Ok i had better clarify this
I was forging, and some novice alt of some sort went invisible, snuck in to the forge and took what i was forging out.
You can't see who did it nor who enteres or exits the room, all you get is "there is nothing in the forge" or similair. I started blocking east after the next lot and 20 mins later my thing disapears again, and then im blocking jae from exiting, so i kill him. Then the city went on a big hunt to get the stuff back which we eventually did. We only got our stuff back cause the whole of Mag helped out (top effort guys) but i couold only kill him once.
I was just saying it seems that someone can go around stealing from whoever, and unless that person gets help from many people then he can only expect to die once.

Y'know, handling something currently in a lit forge would really, really screw up your hands without proper protection or fire resistance. Ow.
Gol2004-12-21 17:08:50
I'd say key sigil and door on every forge. And make sure to block. People that do this need beating down to level 1, since it's one of the most annoying methods of theft ever.
Murphy2004-12-21 17:26:42
Yeah i often finish a greathelm for someone and watch them wear it hot off the forge......I like that kind of thing pity it doesn't do anything.
