I was wondering if we could get a bit more deffinition of what baubles are?
I seen toy soldiers on the streets of Hashan, and was wondering if that is considered a bauble, or would a bauble simply be cheap jewelry?

Just looked at Dictionary.com and got:
1. A small, showy ornament of little value; a trinket.
2. Archaic. A mock scepter carried by a court jester.

By the first deffinition, those you soldiers would be considered trinkets, so it stands to reason that they would be permitted. What might be interesting, is if each jewelry cartel could submit a second cartel-only design, this one every 5 years or so, with which the the Cartel could design an 'action figure' of an important person to that city/commune.
Wouldn't it stand to reason that children would want to play war with their model of Emporer Daevos? Or maybe they are a little richer family, and can have their Emporer Daevos beat the tar our of their Marshall Gregori and Prince Rhysus.. Umm.. I just remembered that there are no real children characters.. But it would still be nice to be able to put them in your shop.. yeah.

That'd be great, kinda like the Achaea costumes going on (where you can get a costume of famous players/Divine).

Gogo action figure Maedhros, getting slaughtered by action figure Narsrim for being in Glomdoring!

Of course, they would just be melted iron, gold, silver or platinum which has been either poured into a mold or carved to get the likeness. The arms couldn't move, so you couldn't make say Richter or Guido give Nikua the Rock Bottom or Stone Cold Stunner (I'm a wrestling fan.. sue me!).. So no moving parts

At the moment, armbands and pendants are classified as "baubles." I think this has more to do with the fact that armband and pendant designs were requested at the same time as I asked for a definition of what constituted a 'bauble' than anything else doh.gif. I was thinking that they'd be like heirlooms in that anything considered cheap enough would be put into that category (with heirlooms it's meant to be expensive), but my wooden bracelet got put into 'bracelets' so I doubt that's the case.

They're basically cheap jewelry that cannot be enchanted.

I saw one that was a little glass ball with coloured bits inside.. Simple enough thing, kind of shiny.. I think it's like something a 'tween' girl would wear, rather than a mature lady, or something?

Yeah, it's pretty much, something cheap people can wear for looks, but doesn't really affect how they appear to mobs.

Example:
You carefully study a jewelry pattern.
Item: Pendant Type: Baubles Org: Public
Outlay: silver 5 rosehips 3
IMPORTANT: The main noun of this item MUST use this name: PENDANT
Appearance:
a glass rosehip pendant on a silver chain
Dropped:
A glass pendant lies here.
Examined:
Three tiny rosehips have been encased in this rectangular glass pendant,
which hangs from a long chain of silver, so fine it is almost
threadlike. The flowers are magnified through the glass, which twinkles
as light hits it, reflecting a soft reddish hue in all directions.

Silver can be found at 100 some places, rosehips are like 100 gold for 10, maybe less. This is something that can be found for 600 or 700 gold, nothing fancy, just something you can wear.
