You find yourself sitting before a campfire, surrounded by a host of laughing friends. A traveller in a hooded cloak approaches the fire from the road, playing a melancholy tune on his wooden lute. You and your friends look at each other, dismayed that the stranger has brought such sorrow to your revelry. All of a sudden, he points at you, and all around you shifts to black, your friends disappearing into the darkness. Only the light from the fire remains for you to see the visitor standing over you. His grim face turns down to you, and he says in a low voice, "It is time."
You are encased within a bubble whose surface shifts and shimmers with patterns like oil on water. Far beneath you, Lusternia drops away to a smoking volcanic mountain range, offering beautiful views of white geysers and lava lakes. As you pass over one such lake, the bubble pops without warning, sending you lunging towards the fires below.
These are typical dreams I find in most IRE games. No matter what your alignment (atleast, that I've noticed) you always have bad dreams, or just kind of neutral dreams. I've always thought it would be nice to have some happy dreams for a change. And make it alignment based. If you have an evil alignment, you have nightmares cause of all the bad stuff you've done. Good people would have mostly happy dreams because they aren't doing things that will stain their souls. I think it would add a nice aspect to dreams.

Besides the fact that Lusternia doesn't have alignment, good idea. It'd be nice to see some genuinely happy dreams, not just a range from bad to not quite as bad. Also, what's a bad dream for a Celestine used to working with angels and what's bad for a Nihilist working with demons and such is going to vastly different. Base them on guild and city to an extent, perhaps?

You dream of members of the opposite sex doing terrible horrible things to you.
That type of happy dream?
That type of happy dream?

I doubt they'd go that far, but how about a feast where you just have a joyous feast, and don't happen to find maggots in it or chicken that is actually your dear pet wakabi that's been missing for a week?

Doesn't sound very entertaining to me.
