Sticky strands of webbing spray out from Kaervas to cover Narsrim.

He is followed by a pixie, a sprite, a wood nymph, the mother, a brownie, a pigwidgeon, a banshee, a pooka, a willowisp, and the crone.

I keep hearing people say it's overpowered while others say it's stopped by many things, anyone want to provide a list of what stops it? I'm kind of annoyed that web entanglement doesn't.
Unknown2005-01-06 16:05:00
All they have to do is sniff them and being webbed wouldn't stop that. I think if you have a monolith in the room. it will stop it. Not 100 percent sure
Vesar2005-01-06 16:23:13
I'd like to see a bonecrusher's nose smash thing stop this. It makes sense, right? Smash their nose so they can't sniff the spores?
Unknown2005-01-06 16:38:54
Monolith stops it. Two smashed arms stops it.
Sylphas2005-01-06 16:45:35
Last time Brona jumped me, I had to writhe out of hangedman before I could spore out. Either it's been changed, or hangedman and webbing are counted differently.
Unknown2005-01-06 18:48:47
hangedman ropes you, web webs you. Different thing, slightly different effect.
Thorgal2005-01-06 19:32:22
-monolith does NOT stop spores...
-webbed doesn't,
-paralysed doesn't,
-hangedman doesn't,
-crucifiction doesn't,
-being prone doesn't,

...all this has of course been tested by me personally.

Result of tests so far, NOTHING stops spores, will try more stuff soon.

Okay, after long testing, I found out the ONLY thing in existance stopping spores is broken/shriveled arms.
Unknown2005-01-06 20:08:21
I'm pretty sure we had a monolith in the room there.
Thorgal2005-01-06 20:10:59
Actually, don't downgrade spores at all, I love them. Keep 'em this way. I've only just started using them myself, and there isn't a single way I can be killed from now on, they rock. I can walk into a totemed room with a triple-stacked hartstone demesne while getting webbed, tripped, stunned, paralysed and still get out.
Unknown2005-01-06 20:18:42
just curious to know.. if you have tried asthma
Unknown2005-01-06 20:25:21
I would try it if my class could give asthma wink.gif

Please don't spread lies. It just hammers away at your credibility.

- Web stops spores
- Paralyze stops spores
- Hangedman stops spores
- Crucifiction stops spores

Furthermore:

- Broken/mangled arms stops spores
- Pin leg stops spores
- Impale stops spoes

The list goes on-and-on

By the way, you cannot see when someone writhes entanglements if they are shrouded.
Silvanus2005-01-06 20:29:07
Webbing and Crucification does not stop spores. Paralysis, and hangman do not, as I had some Serenwilden in Estelbar webbed, hung, paralyzed (don't know if they focused, but I'm pretty sure they weren't) and crucified and they sniffed their spores out.
Daganev2005-01-06 20:33:56
I saw thorgal asking for spores from people so he could test it.

Perhaps having only one of those afflictions does not stop it, but combined with other afflictions it does.
Thorgal2005-01-06 20:34:18
Narsrim dude, I just tested all of that, maybe do some testing yourself too, instead of just randomly assuming...pinleg does stop spores though, but aside from that and broken arms...N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
Unknown2005-01-06 22:18:05
Pinleg stops everything though laugh.gif Far as I know you can't even drink health until you writhe out of it.

Gregori's aura of weapons rebounding disappears.
Gregori points an athame dagger at you and vines shoot forth, entangling you
with a thorny embrace.
2420h, 3533m, 3056e, 10p exkdbp-snort spores

Tight bindings cling to you, making that impossible.
2420h, 3533m, 3056e, 10p exkdbp-say thanks

You say, "Thanks."
2420h, 3533m, 3056e, 10p exkdbp-

By the way, vines are identical to web, same diagnose affliction, and can't stack.
There you go, entanglement stops spores.

Dumihru traces glyphs in the air, and they begin to glow ominously.
2420h, 3533m, 3056e, 10p exkdb-
Dumihru grabs some glowing glyphs and throws them at you.
A prickly stinging overcomes your body, fading away into numbness.
2420h, 3533m, 3056e, 10p exkdbp-
You see a deer wander through a clearing in the distance.

2420h, 3533m, 3056e, 10p exkdbp-snort spores

Frustratingly, your body won't respond to your call to action.

There you go. Paralysis stops spores. Thorgal has lost all credibility.
Daganev2005-01-07 00:46:15
Huh interesting.... Should I say it or not?

I always thought the command was sniff spores....
Alger2005-01-07 00:53:36
sniff is to find out where itll bring you... snort is to use... hmmm well been awhile since i used them though i could be wrong...
Daganev2005-01-07 00:55:21
ahh right...
I don't think I've actually used one yet. My bad.

Edit: See to me, when I found the spores, my interst was in finding out wher they came from so I could mess up the location there, not to actually use htem to teleport. I hate it when I think too much like my charachter.
