Back to Common Grounds.

Okay, I've got a friend to BUG this, but it's just too weird, so I thought I'd post it for y'all to be careful *g*. While in groundhog morph, I appear to have, um, gotten stuck. >_<

BURROW ABOVE
You are already above ground. You can't burrow up into the air!

Um, okay.

QL
You are packed much too tightly into the earth to do that. Huh, weird.

...wait, what?

*bug*
You are packed much too tightly into the earth to do that.

Ummm...*thanks MSN*

EDIT: Okay, it gets weirder.

BURROW BELOW
You cannot burrow in this environment.

Happened to me in Imperian once. I had the artifact claws (well, the free ouroboros claws from a quest) that let you burrow. Found a bug that let you burrow when in Dis using the claws (Dis is the Underworld). Unfortunately, you couldn't burrow above. Or yell. Or issue. Or speak on Gods channel. Nothing. Had to get on AIM to ask a buddy to ask a Divine to help me wink.gif. Thanatos rescued me, and told me that next time, he'd let me stay put for eternity wink.gif.

If I remember correctly, making aliases/macros/trigger in Java Client (Java too simple for me tongue.gif) for burrowing could really mess you up too, though I can't remember how. Just don't do it!

I didn't do anything of the sort (to my knowledge.) I just burrowed in the Ether Wilde, and got stuck. I must have been above ground as well, because I saw Klia appear and just walk off to the north. (Thankfully the Divine rescued me. Thank you Divine!)

Heh, OOC commands should always work, regardless of the situation in my opinion. Bug, Issue, Idea, Typo, should all work while burrowed, or dead, or while anything that restricts what you can do. Hell, even pinleg, never know when something could just spontaneously break, and you'll want to issue yourself and bug it.

But then one day, rather then something like burrow breaking... the issue command itself breaks.

Happened to me once in Achaea in some random forest, may have been the Black... I ended up using MSN to get someone to dig me up. Issue/bug should really work while burrowed!
Karrah2005-01-08 19:18:04
Yeah, I think the divine will snatch you up, thats how they got my friend outta there.
Shiri2005-01-08 19:20:42
They did, which was nice of Them, especially in such a short time. It's a retarded error in the first place, though. Hope that gets fixed! (Although, I have NO idea how it happened, and I don't think I included everything in the BUG I did...)
Karrah2005-01-08 19:22:08
Well we tried many things to get him out of there, but like I said, the main reason he was stuck was he had Java Client aliases working against him.

I always knew Java was evil.

Quiet you.

On that note, though, I think that things like reading help files, logs, messages, all the rest of it, should be performable underground or asleep. One of the main reasons I can think of to use burrowing for would be to read and organise files when you gotta be in Lusternia to do it but don't want to have to deal with everything, and you just can't do that.

Besides which, if I can drink a health vial underground, I can damn well read a telepathic message. tongue.gif
Karrah2005-01-10 23:24:10
Aye the need more mobility in burrow. It's not like we're dead underground. orc.gif
Shiri2005-01-12 20:41:07
Okayyy. And now, watch, as I start taking random damage and bleeding after 5 minutes underground for no readily apparent reason. With no message. Or anything.

I could understand if it was me asphyxiating, but bleeding? What?
