So, after seeing this thread (http://lusternia.ire-community.com/index.php?showtopic=1170&st=0), I'm curious as to what you think! Refer to the aforementioned thread as to why some of the people are above. For an easy reference guide, I'm posting here what Zhaine posted there.
So go at it. Remember, simply because someone is in Magnagora does not mean they are evil, and visa-versa with Celest.
And as a slightly biased reminder, Erion DID kill 13 fae... Like, you know, so twisted he even counted, and remembers what each was. *inno*
QUOTE
Chaotic Evil- The epitome of evilness. Psychotic, cruel, brutal. Those are just some of the words you could use to describe a chaotic evil person. They're basically super nasty SOB's that have little to no regard for anyone but themselves. They'll slit your throat while you sleep on a whim, or kill you simply because they're bored, or they wanted to hear you squeal like a pig. They'll hurt you simply because they enjoy inflicting pain, and squish a squirrel under their boot just because they always wanted to know what a squirrel being squished under a boot would sound like.
Examples in Lusternia of a Chaotic Evil person: If you can think of anyone who fits this description, then feel free to say so.
Lawful Evil- Lawful Evil doesn't exactly mean you're evil per se, but it's usually the case. The main difference between Lawful Evil and Chaotic Evil, is that Lawful Evil people understand the pecking order, and generally abide by it. Whereas if you had a city full of Chaotic Evil people, you'd pretty much have anarchy, since no one wants to follow anyone else, and only through brutal suppression could you even get them to do jack squat, it wouldn't last long, since first chance they got they'd try to kill you and take control, or just run away. Lawful Evil people will work towards a common goal, and will obey instructions. Of course, if the opportunity arises where they can further themselves, they'll take it, but the key difference is that they are willing to work and function AS A GROUP towards a common goal.
Examples in Lusternia of a Lawful Evil person: Magnagora.
Neutral Evil- Basically a Neutral Evil person is you're typical, self serving, bastard. Their personal gains come first and foremost. They might be part of a larger, more structured society, but they're generally only there because either A) It suits their personal gains to assist, and in turn be assisted by, the larger society. Or Because they're too scared to leave. They're also the more subtle, reserved kind of evil, much like Lawful Evil, except that they dislike following the established leadership, BUT, unlike Chaotic Evil, they will do so if necessity dictates that they need to do it. They will assist others if it benefits them to do so, and usually only if it's in their best interests. They have their own personal agenda, which takes priority over everything else.

Wow, I have 3. And Erion, you may have killed 13 fae, but I've killed hundreds of fae, I bash Faethorn.
Edit: Thanks Shiri for pointing out the typo.

Silvanus, you got 3, not 13.

I know him from Aetolia and he is very evil.

We're discussing their current characters, Shiro, not people, or former characters.

Erion is gaining! GO BRUDDA GOOOO!
Daganev2005-01-10 03:32:50
meh, I can't vote for any of those... they arn't evil enough for my tastes.
Hazar2005-01-10 03:36:39
Evil has been sadly lacking lacking since I left Imperian (Harker once said, "I am the cruel tyrant is this land, not you), but Erion -is- pretty twisted. I add the definition 'Twisted Evil' - so insane and twisted they can't even distinguish between good and evil.
Erion2005-01-10 03:54:30
At the time of this posting, I'm leading by one, and have refrained from voting.
And I did it for the Light, Silv. And tainted a lil' Fae girl while doin' it!

I'd give up my own life for the Taint, and do anything to further the Taint. I kill Faethorn because they are Fae.
Erion2005-01-10 04:06:15
Oh yea? I threatened to kill a thousand cherubs and angels, if the Light willed it.
How evil is that?
...And I rip on the prat whenever possible.
Go me!

Rexali's evil by the DnD definition (just good at hiding it). Logical, but evil.
Erion2005-01-10 04:07:32
S'why you're up there. but is he more psychotic, twitchy, and eviller than Silvanus and Eri?
Unknown2005-01-10 04:09:44
Psychotic? Twitchy? No, that's for Gaudigauch. He's quite calm, composed, etc. He merely has rather... intense plans to further his interests (however, he's loyal to Magnagora; hence the lawful evil/neutral evil borderline).
Rhysus2005-01-10 04:44:04
I wouldn't vote for any of these people. They are all either boring evil, idiot evil, or defensive evil. The Triad of Useless Evil represents all that is bad about roleplaying a character in a place like Magnagora. Uniquity is difficult to achieve.
I think I'd have to choose Brona, were he a choice. Not that I'd be happy about making that choice either.

I have to agree with Rhysus on his first paragraph, and then add that I don't believe evil is something you can attribute to someone.
I've always been of the opinion that alignment is based on perspective. For example, a lot of people think suicide bombers are the epitomy of evil. Whereas, for them, they think they're just doing the right thing.
That's what I view every single person listed up there as doing. They don't do what they do because its evil, they do what they do because they think its the right thing.
The same is true with Brona, and just about everyone in Lusternia.
The only thing in Lusternia that -is- evil, is Kethuru. Everything else is just a fake.

Again...Vis.
Daganev2005-01-10 07:07:51
Suicide Bombing is more the epitomy of Cowardice than evil, but Evil is not a matter of perspective, its a matter of actions. Nobody ever does what they will argue is evil, unless they are normally good and doing an evil act.
I'm of the opinion that when people think Evil is a matter of perspective, Evil has won.
Thats why to me, the Evil people are the ones who you rarely hear about because they are completely self serving, and don't do anything to help their communities, yet still gain power.
Look at your GMEM list. The people with GR3 or 4 that you have never heard of, are probabbly the evil ones, or the saintly ones.

A pity Richter's evil rp phase hasn't started...
Still waiting on a few things from the divine so I can do it.

Akraasiel2005-01-10 08:42:16
Akraasiel is not evil per se. He just likes chaos, destruction, et cetera. Its more enjoying watching the world in motion than anything. If I could figure out how to start fires, damnit, He'd burn down the Glom, the Serenwilde, and start a fire in Mag just to boot. Not out of any particular dislike for any of them, just to watch it burn, because it would be fun.
Hes the type who would rather kill both of you than have neither of you die. His perspective is one of frustration and a twisted sense of enjoyment bottled up in one unstable personality. Hes saved the lives of people, then killed them not five minutes afterward, merely because he was bored. Vandalism, sabotage, political unrest, these are a few of his favorite things, but he has a soft side too. You just can't tell which one you're gonna get at any given time, and he changes between states of mind so fast, you can be talking rationally with him one moment, and hes gone off the deep end the next.
Meh. I suppose he is a bit crazy. Not evil, just crazy.
