Geomancers should get pyromancy!

I've heard rumors that Hallifax and that other city will become full cities with guilds like Pyromancers, Aeromancers etc.

I think this would be kind of lame, those cities being in their variable states of ruin is an important part of the story. I think it would be much better if Geo and Aqua mancers were given the ability to specialize in different things like other classes are, geos could get fire and aquas could get air.

Not only do I think their coming back would be entirely a good thing, as it would allow for more variant RP and all the rest of it, Geomancers having pyromancy makes absolutely no sense. They didn't study from the Eternal Flame, are not linked to it, and just..they..don't know it.

I'd LOVE for Hazar's great work on Pyromancy to be used, but as Pyromancy, not Geomancy 2.

Well, the guild names would be changed away from Geomancer and Aquamancer to something more neutral to reflect the change. Who gets what could be decided in some kind of event, like Magnagora takes the eternal flame and taints it.

Yeah, but there's just no need. As good as Light/Taint/Serenwilde is, having the Glomdoring (in my opinion), Hallifax/Law and Gaudiguch/Chaosorwhateveryouwanttodefineitas, would be SO much more interesting. Having the other things opens up so many more possibilities, and besides, there's only so many things you can have in one city while being historically accurate.

Jello, have you even bothered to read the histories yet? That would make no sense, and Hallifax/Gaudiguch aren't in variable states of ruin as you said. They are merely trapped in time, due to a Project Gaudiguch unleashed when Hallifax attacked them.

Giving Geomancers and Aquamancers Pyromancy and Aeromancy would be stupid and pathetic. End of discussion. Consult the histories and HELP NEXUSES for more information.

I would consider 'trapped in time' a state of ruin. You don't need to get pissy with me just because you don't know the meaning of the word variable.
Hazar2005-01-11 02:50:36
That doesn't explain how the @#$% Geomancers can channel the Eternal Flame.

Jello, you obviously aren't aware of how close Guadiguch and Hallifax are to being released. In an RP perspective, we should be expecting them any minute... correct me if I'm wrong, I can't say that I was paying too much attention to it when the quests were being done.

They won't be released for maybe a year or more. When any new city is ready to be added it will be the Glomdoring, and I don't see that coming for multiple months.
