Housing?

Can we have -some-? When I was talking to the imp I was paying to build Magnagora's cages, he mentioned other imps around...

Now, I spend way too much money here as it is, but I need a tradehall/family home. I want a place for the Merchant's Guild to hang out, and I want to be able to raise the kids. I want to hang out at my own forge, and regenerate endurance. biggrin.gif

Can we even have some kind of basic rooms? I mean, I'd just be paying credits and giving the design to Them. *sad face*

But, I realize there is a lot to work on around the garden. I just think of all the children without homes.

Please, won't somebody please think of the children?

I'm thinking of the children. And I'm thinking of making those children homeless again and stealing their homes!!

I want a house. A simple wooden affair set into the side of a hill in Northern Serenwilde, near Moon River, where I can set up an alembic and research how to explode things.

I'd love a little hut. Hell, even a semi-permanent tent I could prop up somewhere and move when needed! Twould be very cool.

I want my castle with Kaervas, Veonira, Llexyn and all the other future Arthardar's.

Portable tent! But it could be tardis-like inside, and somehow lockable smile.gif

if I could ever afford it, I would like a library/study. A place where I can research, and my researchers group can hang out.. if aNYONE sees its importance -mutter-

an expansion to the commune proper in serenwilde would be nice, with houses in it and stuff... and then populate it with furrikin... ewoks anyone?

We are NOT ewoks.

Until I make my new character.

The idea I have is something of a castle or mansion for the Carthans, with the Merchant's Guild next to it or hooked onto it. The guildhall would have the things needed to create all items, and my house would have secret rooms that did things (like regen), maybe some trap doors... a private forge...

Heck, I liked one of the houses in Aetolia, where you could ENTER BED or something like that, and it brought you to a room called Under the Covers. Or something.

I'd rather spend large amounts of credits on housing instead of artifacts, ya know?

Any kind of a Divine response? Maybe? *bribe*
Hazar2005-01-13 03:26:24
I want housing like this. I don't care if it's expensive, that'll just help from every other eighteen-year-old having a mansion. Maybe have a create-a-background have-a-good-reason policy like roleplaying a historical family?
Unknown2005-01-13 19:15:11
I don't think getting housing should be as hard as it is, expensive, sure, but how hard is it to get a house? Really? These people don't just live on the street? I think some people should get houses just because of who they are. Emperors palace, you know?
Unknown2005-01-13 19:28:42
New Celest has the Star Palace, and it has a penthouse and another bedroom that could, in theory, be claimed by the Prince if he wanted to.

Houses would be cool, but why have anything the same as the other places. Lets brainstorm for the divine on new ideas for houses, instead of exactly the same as Achaea.
Unknown2005-01-13 23:03:57
I really don't like the subdivisions in Achaea. They're too separate from the rest of the world, making it all feel like some sort of mini-game.
Hazar2005-01-14 03:49:00
The only thing subdivisions are good for is ratting.

I didn't get to the point in achaea where I could ever afford a house, but I would really like one in Lusternia. I think that houses should be encouraged in Lusternia and made much more accessible for characters than they are in Achaea. Maybe once you reach a certain level you should be automatically be awarded a house, and let the other people have to pay a bunch for the house. That would encourage people to spend time bashing and questing and the like, thereby buying and spending credits, it would allow low-level characters to buy a house through spending credits, and it would reward committed players and improve RP all at the same time!! If this kind of thing happens, it should only be awarded to some really nice and high level, like 85 or something. Anyways, I really think it would be nice to have some cool character houses. I will need one once I start getting more people into my family!
Unknown2005-01-14 14:04:50
The idea of giving a house upon a certain level is a bit silly in my opinion; It would only encourage power-gaming. And how can you justify it in an IC way?

The Fates boom:"You have reached the 8-th Circle, Laneth, have a house on us..."
Lisaera2005-01-14 14:13:15
Few know that Lachesis is a property developer in her free time...
Dan2005-01-14 15:37:12
oooer! Well, I still think it would be a good idea to make houses a little more affordable.. how bout like, 150,000 gold per room. If you can afford a clan or a shop, you can afford a house!
