Much as I like the way village influencing works, I still feel it's too fast. I just don't like that it can be ended in a single day!
Rather than having the village declare itself to whichever city after enough time, why not have it go in stages. 3 stages in particular. After one side has influenced the village enough to make them declare to them, rather than becoming loyal to said city, that stage of influencing goes to that city. Then, there's a bit of a break, and then it remains uninfluenced and the next stage starts.
After all 3 stages have passed, whoever has 2/3 or more of the stages wins. With 3 cities, if everyone gets 1 stage, then it just starts over. Perhaps if one side does get two stages then the 3 round is skipped.
Thoughts?

I wish you had been here right after the first change to influencing. You might have enjoyed it, but it burned most of us out.

Well, the idea isn't to force people to stay up for 3 days straight but rather to spread out the amount of time one must work at it over a longer period, without having 100% of that time they're undeclared be open to influencing.

Im at the opposite end, Id like to go into a villlage, flip a coin a couple of times and let that determine who the village wants to go with. Influencing villages is a choir and Im grateful its not more tedious than it already is.

Ah, the days of 15 minute influencing...
2 hours is pretty good though, I still miss a lot when it happens while I'm asleep.
...unlike certain other people who don't sleep because they're just that addicted. Or dedicated. Whichever...
