Was it just me, or did the last tainted fae event seem very anti gloomdoring, showing everyone how terrible and uncontrollable the taint can be when combined with nature. Or is it just the beginnings of some other reasons that will stop Magnagora being buddies with Gloomdoring when Gloomdoring comes?

Good point actually. If Glom does return, how do the Divine propose the Fae are introduced for their use without having them overrun Prime (that would just be unfair to everyone else)? I suppose they could be place on the Ethereal with the untainted Fae, but then, wouldn't they fight? Hmm, iiiiiiinnnnnnnnteresting.

Glomdoring is coming. It's just a matter of how and when.

That's the 'how' part I mentioned. I think of the two as interchangeable.

The tainted Fae in the event were being controlled by Gorgulu to gather him food, ect. Those Fae tainted by the Glomdoring will be far different, because they will still have control of their own souls.

Those tainted plants on Nil were pretty sweet though. Guido keeps citing them as proof of his plan's strength

The events in Nil were being controlled by an entity forged of Gorgulu and the corrupted Moon Avatars. This was done over a short period of time, even ICly. The Glomdoring has had hundreds of years to learn to adapt.

The Moon Avatars were corrupted? When was this? They were consumed and the Moon Essence was left inside of Gorgulu. But they were not corrupted. Well, except for the last few moments before Gorgulu died.

Not exactly. Parts of them were, not in a physical sense (I don't think...), but they did still exist on the Ethereal too, just very weakened and getting sicker.

I think what you are all missing is the fact that Tainted forest exists in Ethereal.

The events post said... Cosmic and Ethereal don't mix.. i.e. High magic and Low magic. But Glomdoring is not based on Nil or Cosmic, its based on the Taint in Ethereal.

Nil != Taint

Nil == Tainted Cosmic

Glomdoring == Tainted Ethereal

Cosmic and Ethereal don't mix.
