Just thought I would start a topic for the little things that don't deserve an entire topic on their own, but would make nice fixes and balances. For example.
Impale should deliver a venom about 20% of the times that the impalee unsuccessfully writhes, since the venoms on the sword would enter the bloodstream the more they move around with it poking through their stomach. And of course, the sword can't be further envenomed while in the person's body.

Necroed since I didn't feel like starting a new topic of the same name.
Can we make the Blessing of War a STR bonus instead of overall damage? I was looking at the rockslide topic and realized that it's currently just another buff for big demesne damage. Damn mages already have the blessing of knowledge...

Warrior damage is just as bad as demesne damage, if not worse. STR bonus my foot.
(And damn that's a looong necro.)

This is rather moot. You can impale and instantly rend before recovering balance. It isn't possible to writhe most of the time if the person doesn't want you to.

War should stay as it is, STR bonus would be useless for non-warriors.
Murphy2006-02-06 13:15:11
non warriors use int to buff their damage, hence it stacks.
anyway good warriors don't kill with damage, they bleed or rail your head

Only mages and druids consider killing through damage at higher skill levels. Everyone else uses instakills or bleeding.

Then make War a Dex bonus.. he has a good point. The war blessing doesn't add much damage for Damage warriors, but it adds quite a bit for mages. So Mages can get the INT and WAR blessings to increase damage, Warriors can't.

Still quite useless for non-warriors. Int is useful for warriors too.
And Knowledge should be just +1 Int anyway.

God no. There's enough STR buffs as is, whereas the only INT one (besides TF/fete) is knowledge blessing.

To your knowledge, to mine, +9 is possible
Unknown2006-02-09 07:58:33
Uhh, Knowledge +2, Fete +1 TF is +1? Dolphin +1-+3, Drawdown/Nightkiss +1, cant think of any others.

Okay here is a random idea:
I've noticed that the marine rockeaters can knock you down leaving you sprawled on the -floor-...problem is there is no floor when your swimming around the seas. So I though rather than having enemies be able to knock you down, to simply knock you off balance like the starsuckers on Water do. Oh and marine rockeaters would still be able to knock you off your steed, and you would just have to wait to recover balance.
More like an asthetic change, but wouldn't it make Lusternia just that more real?

As I remember, the marine rockeaters are only on the very lowest level of the ocean, where there IS a floor... because they eat the rocks that are all over the bottom.
However, the shark spirits in the Tosha Temple attack you and leave "blood in the water," where there is no water.

They can roam wherever, not just the bottom. I've seen lots at the very top layer under the surface.

True, there is nothing wrong with that.
I DO think there is something wrong with diving into the ground and losing balance, and being thrown off your broom when you are in water, and there is no ground.
And about the idea about an impale change...
Do we really need to give warriors more ways to keep people perma-writhing/stunned/focasing?
