If you had to say which countries were like which cities/communes, what would you say.

To get the ball rolling.

Celest- France- Nice place, quite religious, but a lot of people from outside it hate it, and gets beat most of the time by Magnagora
Magnagora- Nazi Germany- Well, what would you like me to say?
Serenwilde- Switzerland- Neutrality anyone?
The Basin of Life- Belgium- Gets totally trampled over by warring people, of no fault of it's own

Anyone else wondered about it? I especially wanna hear stuff about Gaudiguch, Glomdoring and all the other hidden cities/communes, and the villages. And maybe the planes
Shiri2005-01-19 19:18:44
Estelbar...Switzerland? Maybe?
Unknown2005-01-19 19:20:23
Angkrag must be italy.
Richter2005-01-19 20:15:35
Yeah, where even the women are smelly and hairy, haha. If only Italian women were short, they'd make perfect dwarves.
tarquin2005-01-20 22:08:54
Hehe I always thought of Magnagora as America tongue.gif nah I wonder when Gloomdoring comes, if Magnagora and Gloomdoring will be like Israel and Palestine, poor little Gloomdoring struggling to get out from underneath Magnagora.

Gaudiguch - Ireland? Heard it's a real 'party' place, or so I've been told
Hallifax - Japan (Tokyo) tongue.gif
Shiri2005-01-20 23:33:31
Ooh. Interesting on that last one. I kinda saw them as a lot more cool (as in cold) than that, but all the same.
Unknown2005-01-20 23:58:01
Old Japanese culture could be pretty strict, cool, and calculated. Samurai definitely weren't berserk. tongue.gif

I think of Celest as France or Canada. Call me weird, but that's what it reminds me of. blink.gif

Serenwilde? Brazil, or the old Iriquoi nation in America.

Magnagora would be America, I agree completely.

Gaudiguch would be Hawaii or something.

Hallifax is a tough one. I'm forced to agree with Japan.
Shiri2005-01-21 00:03:22
Ah, I assumed he meant modern Japan. Where 99% of the people seem to be super friendly. (Like in Italy. I LIKE that place. *peer Richter & co.* Except driving seems to be a bit on the "zebra crossing? Pff, screw that" side.) Good point all the same though. happy.gif

Magnagora as America? That has to be one of the most stupid things said on these forums. Magnagora is the opposite of America, Magnagora is better suited as Germany under Otto von Bismarck. Powerful militarily, economically, but incredibly weak politically.
Unknown2005-01-21 00:45:24

I used to think of the Japanese as a fine culture that had mastered the art of tea brewing and sat at low tables, nibbling sushi and drinking tea and chatting nicely.

That was until I went on an airplane to Japan. I found out that most Japanese youths were howtodrawanime-toting, hyperactive people. *shudder*

Interesting: I was born in Tokyo wink.gif (not Japanese, however - pure mutt-blood American).

What on earth are you talking about, Magnagora almost always has the most villages under its influence, I don't know what you mean by politically but if you look at it that way, it is quite similar to America, as America has many different countries under its influence. Also like Magnagora America is spreading taint hehe nah not really, thats more from globalisation thats spreading taint.

I dunno about that one... *points at his location*

Magnagora must be the United States.
"We're all living in Magnagora, Magnagora ist wunderbar... etc" You know what I mean.

As for Celest - most of the citizens are religious, but their zeal is very shallow. Politicaly it's a mess (at least it was when I was its citizen), weak army, slightly elitistic attitude... it has to be POLAND!

As for Serenwilde, I have no idea. If you find a country with fae skipping all about, which consists in 90% of woods, call me.
Yrael2005-01-21 14:06:30
Gaudiguch - Australia. Its hot, its dry, its a little strange.
Serenwilde - Ireland. Lots of happy fae and.. well, dunno about the forests.
Celest - Britain. But Britain around the time of the Crusades, trying to bring 'The light to the world"
Glomdoring - Mexico. 'Cause it was once a place with its own culture, own functioning economy. Now its a desolate wasteland! Sorta.
Hallifax - Scotland. Or Russia.
Magnagora - Germany, but, Germany under Otto von Bismarck as Silvanus said.
Silvanus2005-01-21 22:00:15
Uhh... ever heard of the Consitution of the United States? I think its like the opposite of Magnagora and everything Magnagora stands for.
