on Java client could somebody tell me how to setup an automatic stand up when knocked down or can't attack because you have been knocked down?

ON java I automatically have my "recovered balance" line be a trigger to stand.

I use to have it on recoverd equilibrium also, but telporting makes that a very bad idea.

Wuoldn't that be a bit spammy?
Shiri2005-01-22 14:11:39
Not if you gag it. And it's not as though you REALLY need to know it's there, because if you do it on balance prompt you'll never be off it when you're able, surely. (Also maybe trigger it to the "you must be standing up etc." and "you have writhed free of your entanglement" etc.)

It's like you then,

#GAG Shiri

I colored the trigger to black on black smile.gif

Why don't you just gag it? It'd save a line.
Shiri2005-01-23 21:00:56
Because then he at least knows it's happening, but he doesn't have to read it and waste time that could be spent reading other things. That are more important. Like what people are nailing you with.

Bah. Then it just makes a big gap of nothingness. You could just gag it and #SHOW ** Standing **

One advantage to the black-on-black method is that it's still in the log. This can be handy: during the fight you want less spam, but after the fight, reviewing the log to fix your system, it can help to see that stuff.

Too bad zMUD doesn't have the smarts to have a way to have gags not affect logging if so configured. I've suggested it, but I got in after Zugg put zMUD more-or-less on the shelf.

Do #GAGs affect the logs? I didn't know they did... #CLR doesn't, anyway.
Drago2005-01-24 08:54:04
Gags stop things appearing on the logs.
