I noticed this a long time ago, but there is no real benefit at all for making vials yourself. Since it currently takes five gems to make one vials, and the gems usually cost atleast 150 each. Most people are better off just buying health from Bob, because that way they not only get cheaper vials but also get a half vial of health.

No, and I even noticed that in closed beta. It remains today that getting my vials from Bob is the best way. As it is, I have 50 empties in my pack, all from him.
