I can type numbers faster and more accurately now, from all the manual single-creature targetting. I'm sure it has helped out some more but can't think of them now.

I know of the uncanny ability to alienate my co-workers, friends and family.

I can type up to 130 words per minute (Average is 100 or soish). I'm also a lot nicer, and more polite.

My first completed short story in recent memory was for the literary contest.

I have learned to be grumpy and alienating and how to avoid responcilbility inside the bubble that is my imagination.

Bobby's world has so much more meaning now than it did when I was younger.

I once did a skill assement for writing a resume. I found I had tons of important work related skills from IRE games(even before going up). Things like managing groups(city/guild leaders) to economics, etc.

I found that you can list those things on resumes if you put it as, in a simulated environment. Think about it next time you make a resume, you might be supprised at how much IRE has given you.

Is reading very quickly moving words a useful skill?

Hm, I still only type at about 85-90 WpM, but I can speedread a lot faster.

Umm....hmm...It's made my imagination live again? Or that could be all the Anne Rice novels I am reading. Either way, yay for romantic notions of spirituality.

The biggest thing for me is confidence. Speed typing is a nice bonus too.

My vocabulary is grossly inflated. I'm in grade nine, and going to take grade eleven English next year.

I chant softly whenever I am near a Pool like area and I am now well disposed to fishies.

Funny, my typing's better too (so now I get stucked with most of the typing needed for group assignments)

Plus the nice ability of not doing anything I shouldn't to cure extreme boredom.

Hehe, spending a very limited amount of time in Mhaldor as a novice / probate just made me want to kill some people... slowly.

Oh, and it's not a skill, but I count making the friends I have a pretty good deal, seeing as I had like 4 before. (Most people don't like me for very very obvious reasons )

'Amalgamate' was used on a practice SAT. I was the ONLY one in my SAT prep class who knew what amalgamate meant off the top of my head.

And my Lua programming skills have increased dramatically, due to the hundreds of lines of code I made for alchemy and stuff.

Last time I checked my WPM was 43 , meh.

I have gone from not knowing what zMUD was to becoming an efficient scripter in it. Also, my vocabulary has increased dramatically, as well as general writing/grammar skills.

I feel like a dork. I've been typing 140 wpm with few to no errors since 8th grade, which was about 5 years ago, heh. Although lag time on my client sometimes makes typos pop up :/.

I think it's helped my writing skills. I'm still a terrible writer, but you should have seen me before.

How do people learn to type fast? Does it just come with constant keyboard use?
