I'm sure this log makes it pretty obvious, that just like pinleg, shieldstun needs a fix.

I think the simple fix for shieldstun, is to make it hit auras of rebounding. I only picked up the tactic from Daevos when he started repeatedly using it on me in the arena, though arguably, in his case, the stunning was a welcome reprieve from when he was slashing me with both swords. So really, shieldstun isn't too effective for Warriors, but it is effective with anyone who can hit passively, which includes the rest of the world (Guardians, Mages, Druids, Wiccans). Making it blocked by rebounding (so that you stun yourself) would make it balanced it for the others, since they cannot remove rebounding. As for Warriors, they shouldn't be able to raze/shieldstun, only able to shieldstun/raze (which would have no purpose other then to remove speed).

I would think it fair for a warrior to be able to raze/shieldstun, simply because this means they're not hitting you with their weapons to do damage and afflictions. Besides, we typically wield two weapons rather than a weapon and a shield. Mages and guardians have the luxury of not only hitting passively, but not requiring more than a single weapon (staff, athame, etc) and thus can always keep their shield in hand.

As for having the shieldstun hit rebounding, I think that it's a good idea and would help a little more with the balance, but if you get someone's aura down and they remain stunned, they'll not be able to bring it back up easily. (Yes, I know this is why you suggested only shieldstun/raze, and not the reverse, be possible.)

I do not believe you can raze/shieldstun as it is now, since I can't jab/shieldstun, so most likely you can't raze/shieldstun. And yes, raze coming after shieldstun is a necessity for balance issues, else a strong and fast aslaran, could do the same thing once they have razed you once, keeping the aura down while they stun you.

It's true, you can't raze/shieldstun. It appears you do not see the problem with shieldstun. Knights can only get either high strength or high speed, never both. If you're going to be an Aslaran, the highest you could possibly get is 15 strength (with Lichdom). Yeah, you'll be able to shieldstun/slash fairly fast, but how much damage will you be able to do? And in the process, it is unlikely that you'll be able to do any damage at all or afflict otherwise.

You're right in that it works much better in combination with passive abilities of Guardians and Mage, so that should be looked into, not making knights unable to raze/shieldstun because it is obvious that isn't the core of the problem. Unless you can provide a log whereas a knight completely shut you down with repeated raze/shieldstun and shieldstun/slash. Then I'd think a lot of people would concede to you.

Ur'guard Aslaran has a base str of 11 + 2 (flex) + 2 (lichdom) + 1 (geburah from highmagic) + 1 (fortuna, albeit rare) + 1 (fete) = 18

I was only referring to guild skills, but if you do bring in Highmagic, fete, and the rare Fortuna, yeah. But how many Aslaran Ur'guards have shut down someone completely with shieldstun/slash yet? Heck, how many Aslaran Ur'guards are there even? You're bringing up a counter point for something that has not been done yet compared to something that has already been proven to be too powerful. Again, post a log of an Aslaran Knight crippling anyone completely with shieldstun/raze, and your points might hold water.

Again, I hate the fact that any cool skill I can use is and will be completely abused by another player, making my usage of the skill nerfed to the point of being useless to me.

It needs much more of a downgrade than just being stopped by aura of rebounding. Completely incapacitating someone for the 6 seconds it takes rebounding aura to come up is unacceptable, and you'll just switch to using sensitivity poison on the sword, then using your pookah to break your opponent's rebounding aura.

Stun time needs to be cut by 50-75%.

If you nerf it by that much it becomes useless for warriors, though it's already much more useful for people with entourages and especially for moondancers obviously. The best solution is to just move it from combat to knighthood and maybe move one of the knighthood skills to combat to compensate.

It shouldn't be able to shut down someone's offense and defense by 100%, be it by a warrior, a guardian or a mage. Make it do damage, and a short stun, make it throw you off balance or eq, anything, but not 5-8 seconds stun.

It's basically pinleg... or, more like axestun with the ents hitting.

Except pinleg is blocked by parry, stances and not having your leg damaged, as well as not going through every time it's attempted.

I think it being blocked by aura of rebounding would be a fine fix. No other class can remove rebounding except for warriors, it really wouldn't incacipate you all that much if you kept rebounding up. I can only do it as Aslaran anyway, as a Mugwump, there is a very large gap of time where you can do anything you like, and is thusly not worthwhile to use as a Mugwump at all. So really, it is only a problem as a very speedy race, cut the stun time down anymore, and the skill is made worthless. So simply make it stun yourself if they have rebounding up.

As for Aslaran's with shieldstun. Morslade.

Warriors generally don't use it becuase it's hard to kill someone with one weapon, even if they're stunned for 75% of the time, but people with passive attack ablilites... it suddenly becomes much eaiser. Either way something needs to be done about it, as it was an issue before when people first realized that warriors can get 22 strength (the stun was lasting for like 7 seconds....) seems like its the same type of issue, just with speedy warriors instead of strengthy ones.

A better fix: You'll never hit with a weapon unless the person is prone, unconcious and entangled; unless you're a knight.

Alternative, better fix: Parry head parries shieldstun.

Morslade keeps you off balance indefinatly, which is stopped, fairly easily, by parry and stances. Neither stops shieldstun.

Not being able to hit anyone with a weapon unless you're a knight is a bit extreme. I'd prefer that shieldstun has the same accuracy factored in just as weapon. Meaning your level of combat/knighthood will determine how accurate you can shieldstun, and the size/dexterity/combat level of your target will determine how well he can dodges it. And I like the idea of shieldstun being parry-able considering you're slamming the shield into their face. This would still make shieldstun be more useful for knights since we have a little boost in knighthood, but not make it completely useless for non-knights, only slightly less effective.
