Further reason to upgrade hexes.

Jello here, still hoping on the hexes upgrade. Another reason occured to me.

Hexes does have the advantage of taking much less power than tarot. But now that power is easier to get, this is not much of an advantage. Sooo, let's get a hexes upgrade cheer.gif

I would suggest things like 8 power for allhex instead of 10, the ability to throw 3 hexes for 5-6 power, less mana cost or a chance that a hex will be hidden when it's thrown.

Hexes should just be banned, and cost ten power when you try to use them.

Sound good?

I would like to be able to bring 3 or so hexes with me if I have them in the room when I'm summoned/when I teleport.

To unoriginal. There are easier and simpler ways to upgrade hexes, as well as more interesting ways.

I am willing to listen to interesting ways. Hexes, along with healing, is kinda dull and tasteless right now. Something in healing to absorb afflictions continuously from an ally for selfcuring (as suggested by I think Eldanien for the whole combat medic thing) and something funky in hexes would liven them both up a bit. Which needs doing.

Which you've chosen not to post tongue.gif

Something like fool tarot would be nice, to hide our afflictions. Ooo, or even an ability to draw a bunch of hexes, and then set it so they hit your opponent passively every few seconds, sort of a mix between fusing runes and walking into hexes.

It takes to long to explain, and I already explained it to Dumihru. I'll be submitting it to my envoy, to go with the next report. It will help Nihilists too.
Drago2005-02-03 03:19:57
Sending it to me in a pm, would be the easiest way

Why must you be such an ass?
Sylphas2005-02-03 05:25:43
I couldn't him or anyone else to explain it in the middle of a conversation they had about it on the Moondancer combat clan channel, let alone on the boards. *eye Tuek*
Kaervas2005-02-03 21:48:31
I think only about 4-5 Nihilists including me chose to take Hexes, everyone else just chose Tarot tongue.gif
Shiri2005-02-03 21:52:39
I took hexes, since my Nihilist was an alt and I didn't feel like spending all that time earning gold and buying the tinctures and building the damn cards and all the rest of it. I always go the easy route for stuff like that. tongue.gif

How about an ability to draw more than one hex at a time with the same amount of balance. That would get rid of the need to spend six rounds preparing to sling an all-hex, lowering it to about two or three rounds.

If this was added with an ability to throw two hexes at a time, I believe hexes will become a bit more useful.
Sylphas2005-02-03 22:19:56
I'd like an ability to bring my hexes with me when I move, like how Magi could focus their vibes in Achaea. Then you wouldn't have to worry about drawing new hexes all the time, it'd give a bit more flexibility, while still making you have to take time to prep.

Sorry, I do that randomly. Most likely when I have a dry-nonexistant sense of humor coupled with a bad day.

Day is going good today though!

We should have more hexes, that do things other than, uh, hex people. Wouldn't hexing locations for neat effects be nice?

Though, I think every skillset needs about five more non-combat skills...
Faethan2005-02-03 22:46:20
I think it'd be cool if we could hex food to give an affliction when consumed, or hex items items to give an affliction when worn or wielded. It probably wouldn't be useful for combat, but it'd be a lot of fun.
