Hexes or Healing?

I originally chose hexes as I assumed it would be better for pvp.

However I havent learned any lessons in it yet and after reading quite a few threads about how feeble the skillset is I was thinking of learning healing instead?

Can someone layout the advantages/disadvantages of the two skills for me?

Is healing useful at all for pvp?

Healing's quite a bit better, though it consumes a fair amount of mana. It's more useful for saving money while bashing, honestly.

one word - bedevil.

i can hit narsrim with as much charybdon as I want and he'll just turn around and bedil me. It must be amusing for him to think hmmm i'll let him hit me and ill get the last laugh.

Bedevil costs quite a lot of mana (like 1500?) so it's not recommended against guardians, and it doesn't transfer all afflictions always, only up to 8 and it's hit or miss, but yes, as a trans skill bedevil's fairly good.

oh only up to 8 afflictions? Are you kidding me?

Yeah dont use it vs guardians but damn even if it only gives 3 or 4, its still pretty damn good considering that i waste offence time on afflicting in the first place

Aren't you a warrior? Warriors don't waste offense time doing afflictions, it comes off their weapons as they smash people! tongue.gif

And okay, 8 is quite high, but that's the max (we think), not the usual.

It's still pretty damn good though, just thought I'd give a full perspective on it. tongue.gif

Takes 1k mana, and it is hell! I don't like fighting Narsrim because even if I managed to afflict him up he would bedevil and aeon me...

Bedevil makes it useful PvP wise, but to be honest its a primarily PvM skill, it just takes up so much mana PvP.

Still, anything is better than hexes. Avoid that skill like the plague
