I'm level 65 and about to start bashing on the astral plane. I know there is a
topic up about whether or not you should bash alone or in groups, but I want to know some of the monsters, the afflictions they dish out, and approx hp they swipe per hit. Thanks.

How much damage you take heavily depends on what class you are. As for afflictions most things just do damage up there.
Goats - Take away balance and bleeding also rather high damage
Fesix - Fear and deafness
Scorpions - Random afflictions
Parasites - Paralysis
Abhorrences - Break your legs
Virgins - Blackout and bleeding
Lobstrosities - Bleeding
Urns - A powerful electrict attack (usually 1k or more, for me anyways)
Mitrans - Fear and stink
Bulls - They have a super attack that does upwards of 2k+
Obesefessors - Just damage really, nothing very special
Eagles - Damage and they can fly
I think thats everything. If you see a mistake feel free to correct me.

No, parasites do not powersink. Powersink is an actual affliction that periodically drains mana. Parasites on the other hand, drain huge amounts of power from your reserves.

Right right. I picked up calling it powersink from Visaeris back when the parasites could drain 96% of your reserves in one shot. He said "yeah powersink is really broken" and it stuck with me. I never corrected it because I never fight.

Eagles also give deafness and do sonic (?) damage.

*mumble* Kharvik, your list is not perfect *kills kharvik* We professionals are expected to know unholy amounts about astral and never be wrong...why? because I expect you to follow standards that are ridiculous for the sake of pleasing me...now...the rant has ended. I will put in my two soverigns:
Virgins: blackout, Deafness, fear, roughly 100 bloodloss. That is all 1 attack.
Abhorrences: Blind and break legs, two diffrent attacks.
Urns: not only are 3 of their 4 attacks magic-based damage thus cutting through almost everyone's defenses...they also knock you down.
Eagles: yes, as was mentioned eagles cause deafness and with another attack they take away LEG BALANCE. this is NOT balance loss, it is LEG BALANCE loss. (Yes, i'm that determined to have this accuratly perfect.
Obesefessors: They have a power attack also, their fire/magic based attack does me for a good 700 with lvl 3 fire resistance, however transing up magic can help with that.

Level 0 fire resistance here.. and they hit me just as hard.. *peer* is it supposed to be that way? Seems to me like fire resistance doesn't change anything..

A thing to note about the Eagles disrupting of balance, it hits everyone present in the room, not just the one it was targetted at. I think only the target takes the damage, but everyone loses balance.
