Storeroom.
This storeroom is completely empty, long years of disuse have left their mark
in the form of heavy layers of dust and dirt, and it is surprising that the
room hasn't simply collapsed in on itself after such neglect.

You see a single exit leading up (closed door).

Programmed illusion?
Unknown2005-02-12 03:42:22
Funny, i've heard a couple other people mention seeing that for no reason. One was a novice who didn't even know what Vitae was.

Programmed illusion?

No way. Stockroom gets no visitors wink.gif.

And I saw same thing again later in Angkrag.
Drago2005-02-12 03:43:43
Might be a programmed illusion bug then? We were using the illusion to do this -He is followed by a brownie, a sylph, a pigwidgeon, a sprite, a pixie, a wood
nymph, the mother, a banshee, the crone, a pooka, and a willowisp.

Narsrim places some iridescent spores on the back of his hand and snorts them
up his nose.He is followed by a brownie, a sylph, a pigwidgeon, a sprite, a
pixie, a wood nymph, the mother, a banshee, the crone, a pooka, and a
willowisp.

Its my new strategy tongue.gif
Unknown2005-02-12 13:51:54
Hehe, I get it. You're dying to Narsrim? *vitae illusion* *no more Narsrim*
Unknown2005-02-12 13:57:44
It was a good strategy, very creative use of your abilities, that's what I like to see. I'll have to make it a trigger state rather then an ordinary trigger so I that I won't get that problem like Narsrim did.
Murphy2005-02-12 14:09:04
-cough- Who's idea was it? -cough-

After suggesting the idea to silvanus he went and did it everywhere, It was hilarious to see everyones reactions to vitae.

Perhaps a 'you have been slain by' illusion first if thats possible would be great.

It was realy good too see a group enter, half of them snort spores so we could massacvre the other half.

I even saw Yraels system go off hardcore over clt, was rather funny.

I am chuffed that Silvanus is adopting my idea as a strategy. Now to figure out what else you treehuggers are reflex so we can muck with it.
Nementh2005-02-12 15:51:38
Ahh the glories of a more or less manual system tongue.gif
Murphy2005-02-12 16:24:12
Hence the trick worked as I'd have hoped.

Get those who reflex spores (The spore whores) and thus who are considered to be the better fighters (fleers) or Serenwilde to bugger off and flee already.

It didn't really change much, just made them snort spores before they we going to. They are always gonna spore out just helped it along a little.
Vix2005-02-12 16:33:04
I got that message too along with my coven members while we were sitting safe in the Serenwilde. Some other people in a different part of the Basin saw it too. Seems buggy to me.
Fain2005-02-12 16:55:43
I always find it rather comical when people get messed up because of triggers. Roark and I were both laughing about it.
Bricriu2005-02-12 17:30:05
You can get realllllyy creative with illusions like these! They're all pretty funny, too.

For example - I used to have a total blast making an Illusion of a Jack-in-the-box chomping off a person's head, right down to including the prompt of 0 health, enso on, and the 'You have been slain by Chesire'. That would slow people down for awhile, and was hilarious to use in a CTF.

Also, I'd time random illusions beforehand of Jack entering, arming a Holo-bomb, and then dropping it - that got a few people to scram, as well.

I really miss hocuspocus now....sad.gif

Illusions is one of the most funny skills around, or at least as the potential to be.
Roark2005-02-12 20:09:30
I think this shows that illusions is better than people think. It just requires more creative thinking than the other skillsets to make it work.
ravin2005-02-13 05:11:10
Yeah creativity is what its all about.

On that note, ever seen the megalith threaten a newbie? Its hilarious

*ressurects thread*

And today I was bashing on Taurus with Karrah when out of nowhere:

One of your reflections has been destroyed! You have 1 left.
A hulking three-horned bull rages, seeing his attack fall on your reflection.
3748h, 3589m, 3580e, 10p exdb-cf

All your reflections wink out of existence!
You allow an infinitesimally small mote of cosmic fire to manifest and direct
it at a hulking three-horned bull. Cosmic fire blasts forth, dissolving his
flesh in a sparkling current of energy.
3748h, 3509m, 3580e, 10p xdb-
Karrah creates a sparkling cloud and then molds it until it appears exactly
like you.

The elixer vitae that courses in your blood suddenly bursts forth from your
pores and restores your body, saving you from certain death.

Seeing that in all the spam gave me a heart attack, I thought I died but then realized it didnt actually happen. Crazy bugs.
Buho2005-02-19 06:55:07
I've always said, Illusions is probably the best skill set around. Now lets see if you all can figure out why.
Ialie2005-02-19 06:56:28
I really miss that skill from when I was an aquamancer.
