Make it so in Influence that you can bribe solitary guards.. meh. And make it so guards can be set to patrol areas. Like, the Megalith to the Commshop, etc.

Bribery would be an interesting kind of influence skill. It would be seduction, except instead of doing the move over and over, the guard tells you how much gold it would cost to make them loyal to you.

And if you mistreat the guard, 5 more appear and eat you. Yay!

Go one step further so you can bribe guards from one room away. Making them leave the room you want to enter or ignore you when you do so you can slip past guards in cities or villages your enemied to.

I like the idea of bribery. I mean we're mortals.... somehow somewhere there are corrupt guards. To counter that, make it so the city can also pay the guards so that they can have a better defense against bribery.
And patrolling would be awesome.
And patrolling would be awesome.

Yaayy!
I meant so you could find a solitary guard, and bribe it. It'd pretend you didnt exist. Or more than one, but the more guards in the room, the less likely it is that one will let you bribe it. And it'll be hard if you arent Tuek/Narsrim to bribe multiple guards anyway.

And finally, trade wars have some possibility.
