What powers do secretaries have? Without guildrank, or anything.
Also, what powers are given as guildrank goes up?

Guildrank 5 you get guildfavor.
Shamarah2005-02-20 03:38:44
Secretaries get prefix, suffix, inventory, edit/compose ghelps, enemy, unenemy, and inguild (though that one might be at rank 10 rather than secretary? not sure)
Unknown2005-02-20 03:59:19
hehe, whats inventory do?

I have inguild and I am not at rank ten yet, so I think it is more secretary.
Vix2005-02-20 04:53:54
Undesecretaries can enemy/unenemy I think. Lemme check.
EDIT: Yup. They can.

Secretaries cant use Guild Inventory, i know, i've had this arguement with Veonira and Arilyon before , it's a higher up ability
Daganev2005-02-20 10:36:32
Is there a stated guild priv on being able to edit logs or is it not listed?
Shiri2005-02-20 12:16:38
Are you SURE secs can fiddle help files? :/ I tried to get a Moondancer sec to put one of mine in and they said they couldn't, had to go via Skyla.
Aebrin2005-02-20 12:27:39
Secs should be able to do help files.

I don't believe it's listed, but Secretaries should be able to write to the logs.

Nearly positive, my Secretaries do it all the time - perhaps they need to be GR5, though I didn't think so.
Secs can also advance/hold back novice graduation time, I don't believe anyone's mentioned that.
Annelia2005-02-20 13:05:17
That an undersec thing holding/advancing novices..
Lyren2005-02-20 13:30:12
Secretaries are promoted from Undersecretaries though, I assume they keep the power?
Shamarah2005-02-20 13:35:10
They do, yes.

Secretaries in Lusternia can make and edit guild help files.
One might consider that the problem was not in the mechanic of placing the file, but perhaps that the file must be approved first by the Guild Administrator. There was a time in the Moondancers, where no scroll could be added until all leadership, including Secretaries and Undersecretaries had seen it and commented on it, then if there were no changes, it would be approved by the Guild Administrator. If all you had to do was take the file to the Guild Administrator, I'd say the process has sped up quite a bit.
Shiri2005-02-20 14:18:51
Eh, that definately wasn't the problem. He must just've not known he could do it. *G* Thanks!

What annoys me is when someone sends me a letter, then asks if it can be a Commune Helpfile. I say sure it can be, read over the letter and check its content and decide it needs to be cleaned up first. Set it aside to work on at a later time. Then a couple days later find out the file I haven't cleaned up for spelling mistakes and readability has been put up by someone else because the person went and got someone else to put it up in its messy, unedited format.
This is why people should approve files before posting them.

Veonira2005-02-20 23:32:39
Yeah. I like having other people write files, but I always read over them before I let them create the files. So now they end up either talking to me first about the file or having me tell them what I want them to do. It's a nice little system. That and I check them obsessively for errors.
And I don't know why, I was always under the impression secs could check guild skills, inventory, and score, but apparently they can't. I'm not sure the Guildrank either, because at GR19 there was pretty much little that I wasn't able to do.

When they check your score, does it show private clans?
Or order?

Veonira2005-02-21 04:56:53
Nope, you can't see order or hidden clans.
