Where are you supposed to bash after Newton?

All I can find is the firefly squid in the Inner Sea, but they're hard to find and don't give all that much experience.

You'd be pleasantly surprised how effective influencing is. Try using it until you reach around level 40, you should then have enough health to hunt.

Commodity quests, generally for the benefit of your city, will also pleasantly surprise you.

Experience isn't all about killing!

But where do I influence?!?

Depends on the skill.

I get 1% per complimented ur'Guard Marshal, plus it makes them stronger, and thus causes Magnagora to be better defended. Or you could use beg/supplication to get cash from a neutral mob. Whatever floats yer boat.

I did Glomdoring not long after I left Newton, but being a tae'dae with credits helped that. Wasps and spiders aren't bad if you're careful. So sayeth the bear. Get cows to follow you into a room with a door, then kill them. Influence was mentioned. If you can find any pilgrims (they're in short supply these days) take them to the Peak, many people get many levels that way.

Rockeaters are good with a health vial and liberal use of shielding (attack, shield, heal, repeat).

Questing is also good. Pilgrims, honeycombs (if you're a Seren), spikes/supplicants, etc.

I always like hunting in Oleanvir Valley.

And of course there's always weevils and rats.

cows and sheep and rockeaters up to about level 30, then glomdoring, spiders, tarantulas, wasps, sheep.

Then at about 35+ I went onto Balach swamp which was great exp. Then inner sea tiger sharks and mooses on the mountains.

Grab a friend and you can bash some things in Glom, Skarch if you can heal. You can bash almost any non-sentient mob if you use shield right.

Also, trigger insomnia and bash leeches, that works quite well

Bash spectre isle, even with a friend. I went from level 21-61 there.

Quests and influencing.

I tired the influencing route, I put all my newbie lessons into it and a few other variations. It really takes a bit past adept for it to be of any use. I don't reccomend it unless you have lessons you don't need that much.
