That's Tuek's trans magic at work, mind.
Thorgal2005-02-15 14:41:44
Daevos has trans magic as well...
Unknown2005-02-15 14:42:40
Yes, apparently that was a fluke/bug, since moments later....
Ceres gives you the once over.

1101h, 4128m, 3138e, 10p exkdb-drink health
You take a drink from a ruby vial.
The potion heals and soothes you.
1707h, 4128m, 3138e, 10p exkdb-invoke circle
Spreading your arms wide, you spin clockwise and visualize a circle of
protection. A shimmering white orb springs up around you.
1834h, 4098m, 3138e, 10p xkdb-
Ceres gives you the once over.
The fact that you do so much is exactly while all blessings need to be changed, especially the +2 intelligence knowledge blessing to give an increase to max mana instead for example. Why does Karma blessings, a system designed to curb PK, only have blessings that PKers are interested in? All the blessings should have the Combat elements removed, and give them things questors and such would be interested in, or be of a purely defensive nature, so that it is a nice little bonus to those people who quest often.

Well...Tuek, err...not just questors can use these. I hunt..religously, and you think that I wouldn't enjoy a nice EXP bonus? granted I'm to lazy to go questing, but the fact remains that hunters use these things proably more then questors as alot of quest do not require any form of violence. Fighters..yeah, fighters would go nuts with blessings i'm sure. +2 int on a Merian is...scary *cry* don't hurt me Ceres!

What I meant was, all combat related blessings must go or be changed. Harmony is fine, Life is fine, Beauty is fine, etc, leaving only blessings that are of interest to non-combatants, including but not limited to influencers, hunters, questers, and roleplayers. You don't make a system designed to curb PK, where half the blessings only help PKers.
Daganev2005-02-15 14:53:54
+int helps warriors who bashs so they can use surge and have more life.
Shiri2005-02-15 14:59:30
Well yeah, but it still helps fighters. That's kinda sucky.
Ceres2005-02-15 15:00:25
If you dislike it, go get the blessing of justice, or harmony and bash for some more health. Ooh, or just get the blessing of life.
That sorta damage costs 1400 credits, hours upon hours questing, and being the guild champion.

Funny, you have a huge blaring signature saying you dislike Karma. And no, a lot of the damage is from the +2 to intelligence, since they use stat-scaling over here, much like Achaea (Imperian they do not).
Stat-scaling needs to be removed as well.
As for knowledge, having it give like say +30% to max mana would help warriors bashing, and maybe a boost to skilllevels, without affecting Combat.
Combat related blessings have got to go, it should be designed for RP, and people not interested in combat.

Well, as a mage I know the int blessing will help me bashing quite a bit. There're some I wouldn't use, unless I was a heavy pker and wanted to be protected from the correspondent curses. It's not as if I am to get enough karma to get all of them, I would spend so much time questing I wouldn't profit from the blessings
Singollo2005-02-15 17:36:38
Yeah, with blessings I can get 20 int and 13 con. Over in Achaea that's "Woah" status, and can only be achieved by a grook with expensive artifacts and a divine blessing. They definitely are very overpowering.
Hazar2005-02-15 20:12:32
The general strength level is higher in Lusternia, mind.
Roark2005-02-15 21:45:17
Magic skillset does not increase your spell offense.
Shiri2005-02-15 21:53:58
Yeah, that's why I mentioned it was Tuek's trans magic at work, since he was the one getting hit, so it was the defence coming into question.
Then I found Daevos had it too. But whatever.
(Also it was a fluke as Tuek says.)

Any suggestions for non combat blessings? I haven't heard any so far...
Ex:
I want to see a blessing that lets me take a non-sentient mob and make it loyal to me. Blessing of loyalty or some crap. I'd love to have a black widow following me around.

Shiri2005-02-15 21:59:25
Well, nah, still has to be a blessing of ...justice or something. Since it'd be one of the nine seals, see.
Unknown2005-02-15 22:44:37
Don't worry, most of us Moondancers would die if you shot us with that thing. Tuek is just cool.
And it was a fluke...which has been established...I'll shut up now...

Increasing your intelligence by two hardly affects bashing at all, but it is a tremendous increase for PK, since stats scale here. Am I correct when I say this Roark?
The increase from 18 intelligence to 19 intelligence is greater then the increase from 12 intelligence to 13 intelligence, since it increases exponentially the higher you go. Correct me if I am wrong, Roark.
Unknown2005-02-16 00:22:00
Oh, it does help with bashing. I've noticed the difference when going from 16 to 18 int as a guardian.
