We all know that there are those Lusternia-players that you will never be able to kill, they'll rip you apart even before you can start thinking about sipping your health-vial once.
So, here's the start of a list, which can save you without the fear of your corpse being dragged around and shown to everyone who'd like to spit on it:
On Spectre lsland as a Magnagoran, being hunted down by Paladins:
1. Try to get a Tome of Rememberance as quickly as you can.
2. As someone tries to hunt you down (summon, or just floats down from above), pray for it being a Paladin.
3. When the Paladin arrives and is about to kill you, duck down, wave with the Tome and squeek: "I am a scribe, a scribe! Don't kill me!"
This did happen to me, as Silimaur tried to get me off the Island, as I was trying to solve the quest there. As I was telling him that I am merely there for reasons of gaining wisdom, he was asking for a proof ("And you'd better have a proof!"), so luckily I had the Tome with me.
Being killed (0 times), feeling ashamed for being such a wimp (big time).
Please share your most embarrassing moment, as you were down on your knees begging for your life!
P.S.:
The best tactic for Ethelon by the way:
1. Try to spot him with qw Ethelon.
2. Tell him you'd like to know more about triggers and such as you have no idea about it.
3. Curse your luck as he is about to kill you.
4. Sip random vial before he is attacking you, followed by a "Woops.", maybe even display an example of bad targetting, but it has to be followed by "Woops."
5. Receive a "You better stay out of this, child." and continue your pathetic life.

That last one doesn't usually work, he has one of thar nifty gem things.
celahir2005-03-04 15:39:02
AHAH now I know if I see a Magnagoran on Spectre Isle kill him then if he is really doing the quest, apologise after.

Can't take ooc knowledge, from forums, in-game
So, nyarr

Um...or a sane person could say that Magnagorans have no right scribing the tales of our old city into the tome?

Um, it's not OOC knowledge that Ethelon is a good fighter. I could simply tell him that since he is a vastly superior fighter and I'm an incompetent that aren't able to defend myself even against rats. In addition to the fact I wasn't there to hunt spirits, merely there to scribe ancient knowledge, and that he would neither get the thrills of combat or knowledge of defeating a worthy opponent, he should spare someone such as myself. And maybe ask him to teach me how to become a better combatant to rid the world of Taint/Nature/Light/Cows, whatever.

Marilynth sings a song and kills off all the spectres on the island... why is some magangoran using a mace "bad"?
Shamarah2005-03-06 01:13:25
The mace is made of the violently and disrepsectfully slain bodies of the spectres, whereas Marilynth releases them from their undeath peacefully and with dignity. The spectres are happy about going, presumably, and they arise on shafts of light, whereas the flails are tormented spectre flails.
silimaur2005-03-08 09:37:27
oo who are you by the way i kinda remember someone begging for there life but i dont know who, your on my deathlist...if i remember to make it
Murphy2005-03-08 10:03:03
Psh Silimaur? Every time I see him on spectre, I try to run there as fast as I can to kill him, and he somehow gets wind of me and runs. Maybe I should stop asking for Scry Silimaur in 5 second intervals on CT
silimaur2005-03-08 10:04:51
ooo ive never actually known (except the one time you told me) that you were chasing me on spectre isle...
Acrune2005-03-24 03:41:37
Pah, not even I resort to groveling. Admittedly, I usually don't have time, as most of the time its large groups of Magnagorans that are ripping me to shreds. (Woot overkill, news flash: only takes one)
Alger2005-03-24 03:54:47
any sane person would say a paladin doesnt have the right to hold real weapons... stick to those ceremonial ones that look all pretty people play your role.

An alternate version for dealing with Narsrim, illusion the vitae message and he snorts spores.
During one day of fighting that went well for Magnagora we caused like 40 Serenwilde deaths, and all because Narsrim was never in the fight. They did programmed vitae illusions all over the place and Narsrim never undid the trigger because it meant he might actually have to die at one point.

That used to get me, and really piss me off. But it isn't hard to proof.
Malicia2005-03-25 17:45:33
I've never been in a situation where I'd beg for my life. There was this one time, the resurgem Coven set up shop over a monolith and eye sigil and a group of Mags demesned summoned me while in Glom into a room with them, which -also- had a mono and eye there. I died, was resurgemed back to life, only to find myself in the same room with the Mags, was killed again, resurgemed again, and killed again. I forget how I got out? Amaru empressed me or something? Long time ago. Good old rezz/killings! The room also had greaterpent set up and I couldn't get out. Valek, Riyo, Leah, Daevos, Shanic and Arilyon were there, I believe. I -thought- about asking them to let me out, but NAH. Too much pride.
Shiri2005-03-25 18:30:40
Yeah, stupid eye sigil bug. Still remember that. I was in that Coven, forget if I was leading it or who was if not, buuut you died about 6 times before we figured out WtF was going on.
Sylphas2005-03-25 19:55:41
I can't say I miss screwing with a coven.
"Why are we forming here? There's an eye and a monolith."
"..."
"Look, a room with a secret entrance, no eye, no monolith."
"No, we're all over here."
"But this one is BETTER."
"..."
"*sigh*"

Heh. Lucky that was fixed, then. Eyes and monoliths don't matter anymore. (I hear you, though. You wouldn't believe some of the Coven-related complaints I've heard.)
Malicia2005-03-25 21:07:14
Heh, I was so pissed. I begged you guys to stop rezzing me.
