Ok on the flip side of the knockdown bug, you'll notice here that while I'm sitting there breaking his legs, a couple of times i'd break his leg, he wouldn't heal it, the next hit I'd break it again.

this should be changed to mangle.........ideeally IF (@leg = broken AND "next hit is leg") THEN @leg = mangled.

You're going to have to provide a reason for an upgrade.

Because it makes sense? If something is already broken, "breaking" it again should make the break worse, ie: mangling it.

That doesn't really line up with other bonecrusher skills, blademaster skills, or the wounds system in general. Wounds get worse as the limb is more and more damaged, not as afflictions stay uncured.

It makes sense that my sylph would block runes, and hexes it makes sense that I could snort things with my arm broken, it makes sense that you'd see a toad leave the room and it would make sense that a pixie could also break a shield. Do any of these happen? No.

1) Not for the guild, it affects all knights.
2) How can you "knockdown" someone who is already knocked down?
3) Something needs to be changed so another type of wound or affliction hits when you are knocked down and get a knockdown hit
4) Blademaster idea: take away haymaker and give some type of venom relapse or increased %. I mean, having a venom given from a sword being sliced way down into your body sure as heck is worse than having someone hit you externally from it.

No, but I meant it in line with everyone calling for bonecrushers knockdown to be nerfed....

If I'm swinging and breaking a leg 3 friggin times, the should be a stump.

If I can't do knockdown while you are prone, then I should be mangling legs if you are down eith a broken leg.

breaking legs is one of the best ways to incapacitate an opponent.

All I'm saying is if you wanna nerf knockdown, then do it properly and change it like I said, wailing on someones legs is second only to beating on their head, which is only marginally better cause you can instakill on it and it gives amnesia etc if it goes unhealed.

vs and non-knight, you do better damage against legs or arms rather than head, cause everyone can wear greathelms.

EDIT: I'll repeat myself again, You aren't a bonecrusher nor do you fight good ones often, I don't tell you how to use your ents or offence, I talk about defence. Kindly do the same.

Singollo: The point is, and this is what my suggestion for the change is and will be: If someone is knocked down, knockdown again will send them further off balance. Rather then nerfing the skill by making it not stack, the skill is going to get an "upgrade" and, instead of doing "heavy" limb damage effects, it will do "critical" limb damage effects.

Yeah, but stiking (rather than swinging) at someones leg while they are prone will do the same thing as a critical swing while standing.

not upgrades, but if you want knockdown fixed, (rather than nerfed you ) then that is the way to do it.

Bonecrusher already have freaking better/more heavy/critical afflictions than Blademasters and you guys think you should get another affliction for legs? Where the hell is our critical arm/leg affliction, Legtendon is crap, Severnerve is crap and you guys want better wounds?

And Ixion, what kind of objectivity is that? Bonecrusher get a better higher end affliction, and we give up Haymaker, a 10 powers ability, for another useless ability that causes venom relapse that still uses 10 powers? No thanks.

I wasn't suggesting it use 10 power, or power at all. I was thinking more along the lines of a passive skill that increases afflict % a bit, or relapses a random affliction.

Uhhhh maybe you missed my whole freaking point there Terenas. I'm working on blademaster upgrades too as ur'guard envoy, so I'm trying to get the specialisations fixed.

And if you read PROPERLY we are talking about swapping the ability t knockdown while prone, to do THE SAME attacks that swing would afford you, but as a jab considering they are prone. Its not a new affliction, NOR is it an upgrade, It merely a suggestion to to alternatove of repeat knockdowns. Please do read what is written before jumping to conclusions

So tell me how is this going to be any better? You knock someone down with first swing, you mangle his leg with second since he is proned, since you'll get balance faster than your opponent does to stand again, you then jab a third time to mangle one leg, jab a fourth time to mangle the second leg right away since striking is will always hit the limb you wanted as opposed to swinging. And your opponent has to apply regeneration to both legs before being able to stand, while you keep wailing at their legs again and again. How is that remotely not overpowered or is balanced?

The argument for knockdown was that you can't make someone fall who is prone (I dissagree, watch Rodney King) Just as much as that argument holds, then you can't break a leg thats allready broken. An attack exists that makes legs mangled. The suggestion is to replace that second knockdown while prone, with a simple mangled IF the leg is allready broken.

no, you knockdown someone which means you have to hit the leg first (hence "prepping it) and then get knockdown. If I have you knocked down, and i have your leg to the critical wounding stage, then damn right I should break it.

you rarely knock someone down with the first hit, unless you get lucky or they are low level. once he is proned via knockdown, then you effectvley have the leg "prepped". then the next jab would break and the one after would mangle.

applying health to legs after the first hit, or after being knocked-down would repair the leg back to full health, thereby requiring i hit the leg a few more times before I can break it, giving you time to stand, or cure a broken leg if i managed to hit you with it, while I'm hitting your leg again.

If I manage to prep both your legs, and maybe your arms too, then I have half a chance of getting a sacrifice off (if you don't writhe off, ever) and being able to cure a double-limb break perfectly would become a priority.

In your instance they would a ) have to be stupid enough to not heal their legs, b )let me prep their left leg and right leg to the point where they are easily broken and c ) not be able to cure quickly, or not be able to hinder my offence so I can't do that on them.

Knights in every other IRE realm have been able to set their target up for double-limb-breaks, I used to do it in achaea all the time.

Ideally a bonecrusher, if they are skilled enough and weren't fighting someone who heals deepwound damage very well, could break limbs like in other IRE games.

The point here being that the whole trick is preventable with simple cures, you would just have to get it right. As long as its preventable, and especially preventable via a system, its not overpowered.

I would be looking for a similair blademaster system of being able to break limbs with their swords (swords are just a capable of breaking limbs) in a similair matter, so don't worry terenas im not being biased here. I'd just like to see knights using more tactics in their limb set-up and breaking to win a fight.

It seems apart from head-damage, fighting a knight no-one really applys health and they dont really need to, because everything is healable at the moment with relative ease, Like I said if you can cure it with a simple prioritising curing system, then it shouldn't be overpowered, you just have to cure it properly.

I find it ironic that one has to ARGUE the point that a BONECRUSHER should be breaking limbs to a significant point.

I really like the idea of blademasters being better at poision application and bonecrusher doing the limb damage.
