Well, since for a couple reasons I'll never be able to meet any of you guys, next best thing is the phone. (If only it didn't cost ridiculous amounts of money for Americans et al. unless you have a special number. ) You can poke me on MSN if you're interested (I guess some of you will be British or hae thar special number), at benjasinski@hotmail.com. (Infuriatingly I can't call back, but eh, might be nice.)

A few people have my cell number, but for obvious reasons, I won't give it over the forum.
Veonira2005-02-17 02:49:31
I've only talked to two people on the phone from Achaea/Lusternia ever :/. I always thought it was weird. That and I get shy. But maybe sometime I'll harass you, Shiri.
Shiri2005-02-17 02:52:27
Ooh. That would be looovely Veo.
Ialie2005-02-17 02:53:48

You are a posting ANIMAL. You see my posts anywhere on the board within what, 2 minutes.
Voice chatting on AIM was always funny. I prefer IMs though, because I sound like a valley girl, or so I've been told.
Shiri2005-02-17 03:03:00
True enough. And also, Ialie, I do have a mike. In that camera I showed you, supposedly. And okay, when I do the mike testing thing on MSN, fine. But when I do it with another person? It spazzes out and dies. So yeah, sorry, no can do.
I just mention it today since my parents come back sometime tomorrow, which makes it a good deal harder. Anyway, I'm gonna go sleep now, but anyone that wants to talk before they come back (pretty late tomorrow, British time) is more'n welcome. Only talked to a few of you so far.

Hey, sweet, so people could...call me as if it were local rates, or something? But they'd need to have a microphone. Meh.
Shiri2005-02-17 14:39:07
Ah, darn, my parents are almost home. But it's still possible! Just more annoying as I have to manoeuvre around them.
One last bump for luck, still got a couple hours. (I did get a call, it were well fun. )

What does a valley girl sound like? *curious*
Richter2005-02-17 15:44:09
Noo, not a valley girl.
And Shiri, that was the most... interesting spelling of that word I've ever seen.
Also, I have a very nice American accent. I hear the ladies in England and Austrailia go for that.
(If you don't find this funny, don't worry, you don't get it)

manoeuvre? That's actually the correct spelling
It's just us over here in the US that use maneuver anymore.

That's true. And American girls like British accents (or the ones I've talked to do.) Despite the fact they're 100% normal. I still think Aussie accents are the best though. And manoeuvre is actually the correct spelling. Maneuver (...is that how you guys spell it? Ew.) is American.
EDIT: Rexali beat me to it. Blah.

We have it right.
And it's not just the girls, I find myself incredibly attracted to British or Austrailian accents.

...*scoot away* (Kidding, I know what you mean. )
And no you don't have it right. To quote Lisaera, "There is only British English. Everything else is what's commonly known as "wrong.""

How come when people sing, most of them have thier accent removed, resulting in an American-sounding voice?
Shiri2005-02-17 15:59:36
I don't know, overexposure to American TV programs probably. (I mean, England has about no good singers. Well, not that I know, I just can't think of any.)
