So, talking on a clan, Daevos mentions Demons/Angels overpowered since they get to choose their afflictions. So I decided to knock down two birds with one stone, and have Nihilists/Celestines RP along with Demon Lord/Supernal more-so, and then not being able to choose random afflictions, here it is as follows:

As a Guardian, you get to pact with all 5 Demon Lords/Supernals, and get to choose 7 afflictions on your Demon/Angel out of 25.

What I propose is this, change it all and have you only able to pact with one Demon Lord/Supernal, where they'll give you 10 afflictions, which are better then they are now for each thing (Ashtorath's is useless, mostly), and the demon will randomly pick 1 out of those 10 afflictions ot hit with every 8 seconds.

Ideas? Tweaks? Comments?

Ruins forcing, In my oppinion.

Makes them really unreliable, cause they may give a crap affliction.

They're not THAT overpowered. :/ You just gotta do a bit of guesswork.

I don't mind angels or demons at all.

Diagnose is a wonderful thing.

Uhh that would completely kill Nihilists and Celestines, if they ever did this they best give us some killer abilities to back it up. Its easy to know what people are currently doing with thier demons, since we have so many useless abilties. As far as angels go I cant comment.

If that ever happens, I demand Nihilists get Wrack changed so it doesn't need them entangled, a daegger-like ability and the ability to turn anyone, instantly, into a deformed mutant.

Diagnose is.. half a second balance as a Viscanti. The worst you're looking at for that is at most one second for a Tae'Dae.

Nihilists/Celestines ent attacks once every 8 seconds, at most giving two afflictions.

Nihilists have four "afflictions" (ie, things that don't actually help overly much in mid combat).
Celestines have.. I've no idea, I only know kneel and stun maybe?

Having it choose randomly would negate the entire ability for a nihilist/celestine to have some ability in determining what afflictions they're dealing out, which is vital considering our entire strategy relies on holding someone down with afflictions long enough to get an insta-kill on them.

Exactly.

(And Celestines have paralysis, too. Which is quite the pain.)

Yeah, see "useless" afflictions. Paralysis counts as a useful affliction. tongue.gif
