This is a rather complex situation so bear with me. I'll try and break it down into parts that help to sort the mess.

Vitae

When you die to Vitae, nothing is restored unlike Lichdom or praying for salvation. This creates several problems. First, if you die with low endurance (induced by a specific abilities or burned up in the former fight), it is not healed. I see no reason why Lichdom and praying should heal this but Vitae does not.

Furthermore, various other things that are reset are maintained through Vitae but not Lichdom/praying like hunger. This can create rather interesting situations (see below).

Burrowing

For some unknow reason, you accumulate bleeding damage while burrowed. It seemingly comes out of nowhere.

So anyways, I die and vitae. I spiritbond groundhog and burrow after getting hit. I have 1,000 health. I get hit with a hunger attack (which carried over from Vitae). For the most part, this will not kill you. However, I then start randomly bleeding and die. Lame.

burrowing in tainted earth with poison gas up from a demesne will cause you damage, but if you were just out in the open and no demesne then that sucks.

I have experienced this same bleeding when I burrowed on Astral.

many afflictions last past lichdom and praying. Being frozen by aqua demences I know is one of them, I'm sure thats true for vitae also.

Nothing more annoying that sitting at the portal of fates and shivering todeath after dieing twice.

Burrowing when your about to die or run out of endurance is bad. Someone once posted about being stuck in the ground because they couldn't spirit bond.

Narsrim actually was stuck underground, unable to get out, since he had 0 endurance, and couldn'b burrow above. It was considered lucky that he died, else he could have been stuck there for hours.

yeah, thats the situation I was talking about... Happened to me waaaay too many times in imperian.

I'll make sure you can BURROW ABOVE without endurance, but no other type of burrowing.

As for being stuck, you can BUG/ISSUE while burrowed(yes we fixed that). That is the best, and fastest way to get fixed. We all know I'm around alot, as are other divine. I know that atleast I check for new bugs and issues atleast every 10 minutes, just incase there is an emergency such as that. Bugging first is the best way, as it will probably get noticed faster. What ever you do, try not to log off while stuck as it will be basicly impossible to move you unless your logged in.

There are afflictions that even persist after you have left the arena, died, are praying, or finished praying and exited from the portal of fate. Broken limbs for example, vestiphobia (in Gregori's case), and phantom. I haven't tested lately for afflictions that persist after dying, but I'm pretty sure phantom and wounds and other offensive illusions still stick onto you after exiting the arena. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I don't know if Buho is just part of Celest, but He showed up on our CW and used our CT. Funny thing was He showed up as a peasant so we got Isune to city favour Him. I found that amusing.

And I was the one with that problem before Dag. I think I was finally able to burrow above though.

On a similar note, has anyone ever experienced mana drain while bleeding?

Buho's an actual part of Celest, I know the logs show Estarra citizening him at one point. I'm not sure when that was, though, and it's certainly been more than the six days the logs persist for.

I don't know if this was fixed or not, but I know sometimes I would be underground and then suddenly lose about 900 health and get 50 bleeding, there was no message and there was no demesne or anything... I had no idea what was going on, quite an evil bug I would say!

And if anyone dies to it, they get slain by Callibius. I think Gwylifar made up some story about it being an evil subterranean Fae or something.

All those have been fixed to my knowledge. Phantoms wears off when you die or vitae for certain.

Getting stuck underground..*shivers*

Thankfully it was fixed, but I was one of the people (or maybe the only one?) who was burrowing in the Blasted lands, fell into a gravedigger hole, and got stuck. Then of course I would randomly start bleeding and such. And then I had to use OOC methods to get out because I couldn't issue myself, so I'm glad that's fixed.

I've had the whole phantom bleeding damage happen to me too. It's very odd and almost killed me as a wittle Elfen.
