How can I make a command line thing which would be like Telnet or TinyFugue -- as in it "hangs" at the bottom of the text within the window?

I have a good idea how to actually make a custom command line, so how could I just get something (e.g. text) to "hang" at the bottom?

we will never tell you zmudders our secrets!

No-one has any idea how?...

I have a rough idea, using #GAGs -- but that'll be very spammy.

well i have no clue how to use zmud really... look for hook commands or anything that disects your text.

What do you mean by 'hook' and 'disect'? Would you know how to do it in something like VBScript (I don't know TF script).

No offense, but I don't think the vast majority of TF users use Zmud...or at least have not for the time they've been using TF. Just as you know nothing about TF, we know nothing about Zmud. One of the two sides is going to have to learn about the other to solve your problem, and I guarantee you'll have more of a reason to learn a bit about TF than we will about Zmud.

Hook is a type of trigger for TF. Here is a link for the latest documentation for TF, http://tf.tcp.com/~hawkeye/tf/tf-50b5-help/. Good Luck.

Well, even if someone just explained 'how' without using code-specific terms -- not exactly, just an approximate idea. wink.gif

You can create a window, A Status window, and have it always be "linked" to your normal window, and have your prompt hang in that window.
Alternatively you can have a large button group with guages and the like, or even have a "status bar"

Are you talking in terms of TF or zMUD?

If in zMUD, how can I "link" it? Do you just mean have it under the main window, with the grey bar separating?
Daganev2005-03-01 03:10:11
zmud 7 allows you to use "layouts" and link windows. Its a larger function... ie. in properties somwhere.

But I did also mean that grey bar when I said "status bar"

Heheh, by I know what the status bar is, but by grey bar I meant the little resisizing bar which usually is placed between touching windows. tongue.gif

Thanks, I try that linking thing.

Bleh, they can't link without a thin, grey, resize bar in between. sad.gif
