To even out all of the Mage's demesne, 3 things need to be done:

Remove the passive rubble. Remove the passive moving of tsunami, remove the passive throwing into trees.

The rubble is what annoyed me the most, it killed me in the one fight..start climbing over rubble, slam, get stunned, have to start over...but then chasm finishes.

It is currents that passively move people away from the aquamancer, not Tsunami. Tsunami gives prone and a bit of damage only. I am willing to give up currents. Even without rubble, I still say that chasm needs to be a little bit harder to pull off. Only 3 power for the best insta-kill in the realm is a bit off the rocker.

Tumble.

If you do not tumble right when you see chasm start, you might as well prepare yourself to leave after you vitae. It is just so darn fast, that I did not try to tumble because I knew I would not have made it out of the room in time. I should have used my cubix, but I wanted to continue the fight. As you can see, my feet kept taking me out of the room and I cubixed away.

I really like 1 and 3, but I really feel that no classes should have more than 1 instant kill, why do Celestines need judgement/soulless/absolve or Nihilists need wrack/sacrifice/soulless is beyond me. And oh, Chasm should be like judgement damn it, I want web to stop Chasm.

I'll say this once again.... When you see a chasm happen IT IS EASY TO KILL THE MAGE BEFORE IT GETS OFF!!! We cannot HEAL, SIP, MOVE, BLINK, BREATHE or ANYTHING if we want to pull off a chasm. Just whack at us and we go down. We're mages, we're easy to kill via damage.

And I'll say this, what stupid Geomancer is going to be starting a chasm when he is at low health? So that means he will most likely to start chasm when he is at high or max health. A decent level Viscanti Geomancer has roughly 2880 health at level 60 health to 3095 at level 65. And factoring in the fact that a) your demesne will be stunning/knocking down/break legs of your target, and that you chasm is ungodly fast (3 messages, within 7 to 8 seconds, less because you won't see it until it started). Do you honestly think that anyone is able to dish out roughly 3000 damage normally in 5 to 6 seconds? Revan, if you have never fought against a Geomancer with Chasm inside his demesne, you don't know what you're talking about.

How does chasm's speed compare to Judge?

Judge costs more power and can be stopped.

4 messages as opposed to 3 (so faster), costs 5 powers and like you said can be stopped by someone else.

That's why so many people are pissed off with why the admins made Chasm so good.

Terenas, I -am- a Geomancer so I know what I'm talking about more than you do. Do you have any idea how insanely simple it is to dish out 3k to a make in that amount of time? Maybe I should point out that thread where Ixion deals about 2k+ on ONE SWING. Granted Ixion's a beefy man, but come on... if you cannot kill a Geomancer at full health while he's doing a chasm, you basically suck as a knight, period.

Yeah..um, and why are you so conveniently leaving out the fact he had puissance and omen on you, or the fact that he is has the champion helm, or that he has the best swords runed up in the game? So you expect him next time to put omen/puissance on you then swing at you twice when you start Chasm? Sounds like a good plan.
