Um, I'm assuming Ethelon would know enough to have PK careful on, in which case he shouldn't had been able to attack you at all initially. What I'm guessing is that your demesne might have attacked him at one point or another, which negated the suspect status.

Can't've been the demesne, or the suspect would've been reset at 30 months if it was regained, wouldn't it?

From what I remember, in one of the village influencing (before it was changed to not be proctected by the Avenger) I was fighting and killed Ixchilgal so I got suspect on him. Then later when he finished praying and I was standing on top of his demesne and casted his effects throughout his demesne, the effects hit me and Avechna told me that he was fair game again. So if I kill him again he wouldn't get vengeance on me. Ixchilgal didn't say if he still had suspect on Ethelon though, if he did then that might be why, if he didn't and got killed without attacking back, well then that might be worth looking into.

I had Demesne effects going, yes, but they hit me first.

Also, I have suspect on him now, and I had suspect on him before. Currently, it's at 23 days. So, even with my fighting back (As pitiful as it was), I should have -one- Vengeance against him.

And yet, I do not.

Hmm... Here's a question: Ethelon says he wasn't initially an enemy of Ladantine (Being that guarding Ladantine means that if Ethelon was there, he would be in enemy territory for being there.) If that's so... then if you declared first against him, Ix, he would be of the defending party, and thus he would gain suspect if you killed him, but he wouldn't have given you anything for killing you. Perhaps that is the case?

I hadn't bothered declaring against anyone, because I was under the impression they were all enemies, and thus, I did not need to.

And, that failing that, they'd have declared me -first-, in order to attack me.

Either way, I had no -need- to declare.

I honestly can't remember, but I may have used Defend on Narsrim or another, we all allied before going just for that. I was the last to hit you out of all the attacks and your demesne hit I believe before I mae my first attack. First thing I did was block the exits while they attacked. So it was probally defend that allwoed me to attack you.

Um.. wouldn't that be abusing the System?

You all went there with the express purpose of killin Ixchilgal but, rather then declaring, you had one person declare and attack, and then defended when they got hit back?

Well, Yes actually.

They may be annoying as hell, but I wouldn't have thought bending rules was one of their skills.

Well, congrats, they found major bug #1 with Declare/Defend.

Suggested fix: If you 'DEFEND' someone, who 'DECLARES' someone else, the defend doesn't work against the person your ally is attacking.

It's stuff like that that makes me want to play a MUSH.
