Notice of a trend of Murphy consistently beating Tuek and Narsrim after the Knockdown change whereas he had some troubles? I really doubt you can contribute those wins to Murphy's improved fighting abilities or Tuek and Narsim's decreased fighting ability, it's all in the upgraded knockdown.

I disgree Terenas. since the knockdown change Ihad been fighting a lot more and different, I have change my tactic, my swinging, what venoms I use.

I've spent a lot of time on my offence, the stun of knockdown isn't the be all and end all, If you look in the fithes wht narsrim I have 2 double breaks with 2 arms shrivelled and I'm beating the chrst out of him...So yes my skill level has gone up, not because of bronecrusher stun.

Um, I've fought you twice before the knockdown upgrade and read several of your logs as well. And I have noticed no difference whatsoever between your fighting tactic before and after the change. The only change in your venoms I saw was you went from charybdon in one log to dendroxin. The majority of the other logs I can't even find you envenoming at all. Your fighting tactic haven't changed one bit however, you still do two simple thing, smash right/left and smite up for wind and knockdown. I've never seen you hit arm, chest, or head at all. How are those changes in fighting tactics?

It seems to me that the problem is not on the attacker's end (as in being overpowered), but on the defender's end (as in needing to learn how to heal legs properly after this change).

Terenas, I often hit arms and head, in fact if i see someone drop their head parry then I beat on their head.

Yeah, I agree that Tuek or Narsrim could have healed their afflictions better, but in my fight against Murphy, none of his afflictions stuck on me, but it was still hard for me to mount a successful offense due to the constant balance lost due to wind and proned/stun due to knockdown. You also have to take into account it's very hard to smoke rebounding effectively if you are constantly knockdown and stunned.

Actually, my Antidote vial was empty, and I died to crotamine, good job. After we sparred again, I killed him twice.

Why don't you post the logs of me killing you twice, then Narsrim killing you twice?

Well, I originally had no regeneration reflexes. Not one. That is fixed and I've beat Murphy since. However, what else me off is that you can double raze here. That's somewhat ridiculous too. You can double raze faster than I can nullify once.

I think the problem with that logic, Narsrim, is that warriors NEED to be able to double-raze, on account of rebounding, because they have no additional help. Whereas if you get lucky with ent-timing, you only need to break once to get through. (Well, rebounding doesn't work on you, and all.)

You have to realize knights need to be able to raze fast. We generally do not have any passive offensive abilities, whereas Magi get demesne and Guardians get angel/demons/faes.

Take this scenario. If I was to raze as fast as you nullify.
- 0 seconds- Bob has shield/rebounding up, I double raze, he smokes faeleaf/re-shield
- 3 seconds- I regained balanced, I razed again
- 6 seconds- I regained balanced, his rebounding props up, he regained eq to shield again.

We need fast razing because we have rebounding to worry about every 6 seconds, whereas Magi and Guardians do not. You don't get hit with afflictions/damage/wounds when you rebounding off shield, we do, that's why it's only fair we can raze fast.

Everyone knows Murphy dies loads, the interesting fights are his wins.

As for knights, we should just give them falcons and hope they shut up.

As I understand it, there is a reason you cannot raze/raze in Aetolia/Achaea. You can raze or you can raze/slash. Simply put, you can raze shield/rebounding at the same time about 2x faster than I can nullify once. Thus, any class can shield whore against a guardian/wiccan/mage/druid yet no class can feasibly do the same for a knight. In Lusternia, shielding can be done by every class for a little bit of mana unlike other realms where tattoos were needed. It would be different if you could take down shield but weren't able to infinitely shield yourself but that isn't the case.

Murphy also just bought some artifacts.

I think Murphy is a prime example of why there needs to be more combat artifacts for other classes. Knights can gain more damage, accuracy, and speed AND change the damage type AND increase wounding for the -same- amount of credits as a magic user can increase 20%. We are currently screwed out of buying equally decent upgrades.

Comparing warriors in Lusternia to knights in other realms doesn't help your case too much, in my opinion. Knights in Achaea, for example, pretty much suck. Some have bought powerful weapons or invested a lot of lessons, but for the most part they cannot hold their own against any other class.

Oh, and I shield without using any mana at all.

Seems to me that this accuracy thing is another poor comparison. Mages never miss and have no rebounding to deal with. The damage type is still only a minor thing as pretty much every magical attack has partial damage of multiple types. Warrior weapons do either blunt or cutting, without the damage type runes.
