Get a shield and 'parry all' atleast, or perhaps 'parry gut' for Olan. He was winding you alot. If you're trying for Wrack, perhaps only have Shackles invested? It'd give you a higher chance of having him bound when you're trying.

I didn't realize I had you that low, you kept me pretty tied up and unable to attack as often as I'd like. First time I've ever fought someone who afflicted that fast in Lusternia.
But yes, parrying, stancing, etc can all help cut damage. Of course, I'd have changed hit locations if you'd been parrying, so parrying all gut wouldn't have helped in the long run, but it all helps.
