Errr... what do they actually do?
Shiri2005-02-27 18:33:35
Fist sigils - stops things being knocked out of your grip when attached to an item. (Presumably things like slapknuckle, the warrior ability that makes you drop whatever's in your hand?)
Flame Sigils - Stops you giving things away, or picking them up if you drop them. Antitheft measure.
Key Sigils - Helps with shop theft or something: if you put one on the floor, flamed, and exit the room its in (if a door's there), it automatically shuts the door after you move.

Pentagram - Lets you cast the pentagram spell - same as lowmagic circle. I can't think why you would spend 30 odd gold on this rather than the 30 mana it costs to cast, but there you are.
Void - Breaks someone else's pentagram/circle.

Deathsight - A defence that lets you see where and what people die to.
Window - Lets you see someone's location.
Waterwalk - Lets you walk in water without typing SWIM and waiting for the stupid time thing. Also stops you drowning when on the water's surface.
Fear - Makes everyone you declare panic and run away by one room, and more if they don't COMPOSE.
Enfeeble - Lowers STR, I think.
Diminish - Lowers size by 3.
Enlarge - Raises size by 3.
Web - Entangles someone so they can't do a whole lot (no attacks, moving et al.) until they writhe free or use highmagic tipheret/lowmagic summer.
Sleep - Puts someone to sleep. Well, duh.
Acquisitio - Makes you auto-pickup mob corpses you kill, and you randomly pick up stuff on the floor, too.

Kingdom - Defence that clots for you.
Beauty - Defence that heals ego. I think.
Perfection - Defence that heals mana.
Mercy - Defence that raises health.

Yup. That's right. Enfeeble lowers STR by 1, very useful so.....

Get some enchantments!

Well since i this is about enchantments ill ask this question here. If i have a flame enchantment put on something like armour can i disenchant the sigil that i put on the armour?
Unknown2005-03-06 00:24:45
Once a flame sigil is attached to something, it is permanent till it decays. You are better off cursing your armour, and then it cannot be removed ever, untill you rub it, which breaks the curse. Useful deterrence against theft and vestiphobia.
Unknown2005-03-06 02:19:12
o so curse is suppose to be a useful and not to hurt someone. I just want to make sure cause if anything gets changed im gonna be pissed. angry.gif

Anarias2005-03-08 21:14:37
Nonsense, we don't need mushroom sigils. Or maybe another way of saying it is... I don't need mushroom sigils. wink.gif

agreed
Shiri2005-03-09 13:57:44
Bet you wouldn't say that if we were to start giving them to you and pookaing you attach them to...swords and...stuff. Or packs, with ALL THAT GOLD. O_o

(Wait, is that possible in other IRE games?)
Murphy2005-03-09 15:22:30
I believe it was, one of my favourite things in achaea when fighting a shaman or jester using puppetry, was to steal their doll as a snake, causing them to start again.

I have been told that attack mushroom to doll works as does flame, haven't tested it though.

EDIT: If Narsrim or Tuek makes me attack a flame sigil to an artifact flail of mine while i'm using my hammers out, I will go insane
Vix2005-03-09 17:03:29
Can't you still wield flamed things?
