Polearms -Good for those with steeds

Leather Armour -Great for all novices
Scalemail -Simple but effective armour
Chainmail -A must have for all Guardians
Fieldplate -A Knights best armour

Kiteshield -Great for those starting bonecrushers
and anyone without swords.

Runes available for those who need them, supply the coal or 100g.

You must be one of the very few exceptions. I always thought that prices in shops = more expensive because of convenience and less competition. Then again, forged stuff isn't exactly the same as that of herbs / tints / clothes (not including great robes).

Well, the way I figured it was that they're getting more personalized services by going through me and not the shop. They can have any item they want, not just what's stocked. They can have items forged multiple times to get good stats. Things of that nature. More services should mean higher price, and it keeps me from competing directly with my employer upon whose friendship i would not want to infringe upon.

For the most part I stock a wide range of leather items, fieldplate, and an assortment of standard weapons in the shop. These are items that more people will need, which better serves the general consumer in the Commune. People come to me for their Masterweapons, Greatshields, Greathelms, etc. Such items are also the ones where people are more eager to reforge for better stats. (If the comms for such a sword cost 16k, the 700gp price to reforge a few doesn't seem like much)

The topic being "Forger for (higher|hire)", i assumed it would make more sense to stick it here as opposed to creating another forging thread. I didn't intend to step on anyone's toes, I apologize if that was the case. I'll just edit the post and wipe it out myself, the ads are in the game anyhow.

Thinking about it a bit, isn't this forum setting something of a double-standard? We tell everyone not to mix what they do or see on these forums with their characters...but by posting ads for tradeskills it seems to do just that. C'est la vie I guess.
