Not sure what you mean. I don't know if Lusternia has been added to the TMC java client yet, but you can try. Go to www.mudconnect.com and click listings. ONe of the many options above the letters is java client. Click on it, and check the MUD list for Lusternia. Otherwise don't know what to tell you besides use telnet if your desparate. I can't play at school.. 'innappropriate content, and too much bandwidth'. But that was long before Lusternia. That happened with Achaea two years ago.

Alright, here goes:
As some people might know, I am (like Gryphor) behind a firewall. Recently I discovered that the option 'check for connection' at mudconnect.com works - it shows the starting screen of the mud in their fancy gray javaclient. However, when I try to use their 'connect to the Mud' option (I think it will open the same javaclient, or whatever it is, thus enabling me to play Lusternia - since checking for connection did work, it should as well), the whole fun starts.
It takes me to the page which asks me do I want to vote for Lusternia. (here's the address: http://www.mudconnect.com/mud-bin/telnet.c...sternia.com:23)
When I click on 'skip the vote, take me to the mud' button, it displays an error - like if the page it was directed to didn't exist. However, if I vote, a page shows up - it doesn't have their grey client though, but only a link to an ordinary telnet connection.
Is it supposed to be like that? If not, what should I do to avoid it?
EDIT: Nevermind. Forced their client to work, but I cannot connect. Stupid firewall, why they had to open port 25, not 23.

It pops up a telnet window for me too. Probably supposed to be like that.
You could try downloading a small client (like JMC http://www.geocities.com/jmc_client) onto a floppy disk, and then transfering it to the computer you want to use, or using it straight from the disk if it isn't too slow. Hope that works.

Thanks for the help, but you've got me wrong. Their java client works for me, but it doesn't want to connect to Lusternia. The reason is that I have port 23 blocked at my current computer. I thought that mudconnector uses their own server in a semi-proxy way (if it was like that, I could connect to Lusternia), but seems I was wrong,

Best bet Gryphor, unless like mentioned port 23 is blocked... go download GMUD to a floppy disk and run it from the school computer... it's what I did for years.

My school blocks all ports but HTTP so I cant access lusternia froms school. However if your school hasn't then try this..
start
run
cmd
telnet lusternia.com 23
and there you go.
