roflmao.gif Don't suppose you got the rest of the log?
Jack2005-03-05 23:28:21
I was just sat there, talking to Arilyon, when all of a sudden - almost simultaneously -

"The Portal of Fate flares with energy as Spicy steps through, ready to start a new life in Lusternia"

"The Portal of Fate flares with energy as Saucy steps through, ready to start a new life in Lusternia"

We both laughed, also virtually simultaneously.
Unknown2005-03-06 00:03:11
They are now Spaici and Sahci.

That's too funni!
Ialie2005-03-06 05:38:13
Bah more people to copy Ialie and Ialen.
Unknown2005-03-06 06:16:37
I'm more put off by the way the full members handled it. You don't tell people to change their names on a public channel. The reason people have to change names is because they are not suitable for an RP environment.

That's like:

Person A says, "Lol!"

Person B says, "Don't say that!! It's ooc, you suck, noob!"

And seriously, maggot? Bah, cliche.

Heh at least that's one reason to have my newbie channel on (since I can't mentor yet).

But bright point, at least they can roleplay.
Jack2005-03-06 07:18:38
They sound like pirates.

Which is good. Because, as we all know, pirates are infinitely preferable to ninja's..
Unknown2005-03-06 08:28:46
Mangonora eh? Sounds tasty.....

Yeah, and you'll keep ON saying that right until someone jams a kunai in your kidney! >_<

As you're not in the Ur'Guard, Alyvia, I wouldn't expect you to understand this, but the grunts are called maggots from time to time, by everyone ranked above them. It helps them to realise that they are the lowest of the low in the ranks, that they will not receive special treatment, and that they had better respect their superiors.
Desdemona2005-03-06 19:26:45
Ur'Guard has the same home fresh feeling as the Maldaathi... happy.gif

Nonetheless, I offer substitutions for maggot:
slimebucket, worm, rat, scamp.

Edit: swine, too.
Shiri2005-03-06 19:37:45
Pff, scamp? That's something you call a mischievous puppy! tongue.gif
Desdemona2005-03-06 19:40:44
Erm and since when is scamp considered a "superior" lifeform. Used on a person properly emphasizes your lack of esteem to a person.
Ceres2005-03-06 19:59:30
Ye be a gurt scamp, master Shiri.

In seriousness, though, props to them. Perhaps not the most well-advised names at first, but they've got a plan and are sticking to it.

thumup.gif
Shiri2005-03-06 20:10:25
Come on, Desdemona, that's like calling someone a hamster and trying to use it as an insult 'cause "they're an inferior lifeform! >_<"

And Ceres, if that's REDWALL I hear you quoting at me, so help me I'll shove a mole down your throat and watch you suffocate. angry.gif
Ceres2005-03-06 20:11:34
Someone else has read them!

OMG!

I love(d) Redwall!
Desdemona2005-03-06 20:18:11
Hey, whatever terms are right as long as they achieve it's purpose: letting you know that you are worthless.

\\Scamp\\ (skmp), n.
A rascal; a swindler; a rogue. --De Quincey.
syn: imp, monkey, rascal, rapscallion, scalawag, scallywag

Add, lowlife, scumbag, slimeball, cannon fodder, pawn, bum to the list.
Shiri2005-03-06 20:20:42
Yeah, but being called a scamp is quite cute. It's an affectionate term.

And Ceres, you just killed all the respect I had for you. dry.gif
