Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "Interesting...."

You crease your brow in a frown.

l
The Carillon of Screaming Hatreds.
Huge wooden wheels provide a mechanism to hang thirteen massive, golden bells
in this loft. However, their upkeep seems to have been poor, both wood and
bells cracked and tarnished. Dust lines everything, only a few footprints
marking its surface. Here and there both wood and bells are stained black, as
if a great fire has licked over their surfaces. A glimpse of white beneath the
bell-ropes is, on closer inspection, the bleached bones of some poor humanoid
that has perished in this isolated chamber. Ashtorath, Duke of Inescapable
Damnation, towers over his surroundings and seethes with a palpable hate. A
huge archdemon looms here, surrounded by black mist. A malevolent demon prowls
here. Fatale Yrael, Revenant is here. He wields a soot-blackened tinderbox in
his left hand.
You see a single exit leading down.

A squat imp flits in from the down.

The room lightens as a malevolent demon leaves to the down.

Yrael mutters and traces a glowing circle before him. He steps through the
circle and suddenly vanishes from sight.

You say to Bricriu, "Please, one minute..."

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "Don't have such an ego as to think I can't
spot people on the very plane I am affiliated with, dearest Guido."

Beating wings herald the arrival of a malevolent demon from the down.

You say, "I made no attempt at secrecy."

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "Don't also be as rude as to think I will not
watch you, when I know what you are up to."

Bricriu pets you ingratiatingly.

You say, "Please, leave me be to speak with Lord Ashtorath."

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "I think not."

You say, "Very well, then watch."

Bricriu jerks slightly as the air fills with sparkling motes of bright light.

Bricriu's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

Erion narrows his eyes at you in an unnerving manner.

You say to Ashtorath, Duke of Inescapable Damnation, "Ashtorath, greatest of
the Demon Lords and true master of Nil, I beseech you! The Nihilist Bricriu
attempts to rally the forces of Nil against myself and those who follow me, for
we have tried to learn Nihilist secrets to aide us. She has, as far as we can
tell, aligned herself with the fool Luciphage. I know how much you hate him,
and if you, in your almighty wisdom, should choose to help us against this
threat, we will forever be in your debt."

Ashtorath, Duke of Inescapable Damnation roars fiercely.

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "Interesting."

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "Disgusting."

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "For crimes against Nil, and the Nihilists,
Guido..."

Erion spits on the ground in disgust.

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue brands you a traitor to Magnagora and casts you out.

You say, "What is this?!"

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "I do not know you."

Bricriu has declared you a formal enemy of the Mighty Dominion of Magnagora.

Bricriu has declared you a formal enemy of the Nihilists Guild.

Bricriu hurls a tarot card with the image of the Hanged Man on it at you. As it
reaches you, a huge mass of rope bursts out of it, entrapping and hindering
you.

You have discharged Erion from The Flagg Brood.

Bricriu stands a tarot on her open palm, and blows it lightly at you. Suddenly
your movement through the time stream is slowed.

Your legs are tangled in a mass of rope and you cannot move.

Bricriu strokes your right leg and chants harshly, causing the flesh to shrivel
to the bone.

You return to the normal timestream.

Bricriu strokes your right arm and chants harshly, causing the flesh to shrivel
to the bone.

entangled in ropes.

Erion shakes his head.

Bricriu begins to chant in a deep and baleful voice, and an iron cross rises up
from the ground before you. Vicious spikes slam into your flesh and nail you to
the cross. You scream in pain and agony as blood is splattered in all
directions.

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

You bleed like a stuck pig upon the iron cross.

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then

You begin to writhe furiously to escape from the iron cross.

With an heroic effort you manage to writhe yourself free from that which
impaled you.

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then

You say, "Traitor!"

Bricriu raises a palm which glows with a tiny pinpoint of light. The light
turns into a sparkling current of energy that slams into you, dissolving your
flesh.

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "I will feed your soul to Nil!"

Erion pronounces that you are under an ill omen, and a sense of imminent
foreboding descends upon you.

You say, "BASTARD!"

Throwing back your head, you scream agonizingly.

Bricriu raises a palm which glows with a tiny pinpoint of light. The light
turns into a sparkling current of energy that slams into you, dissolving your
flesh.
You scream and writhe in agony, as the coruscating fountain of cosmic fire
destroys the fragile hold you have to your body.
You have been slain by Bricriu.
A reishi mushroom falls out of your inventory.
The elixer vitae that courses in your blood suddenly bursts forth from your
pores and restores your body, saving you from certain death.

An Ur'Guard Grand Marshal says, "For the glory of our great city, and the Taint
that sustains it."

Calling forth to the bowels of the earth, a plague lord leans over towards the
ground and draws out a sickeningly black blade. Quickly he shoves it into your
chest where it melts away.

Bricriu stands a tarot on her open palm, and blows it lightly at you. Suddenly
your movement through the time stream is slowed.

An Ur'Guard Grand Marshal slams a metal flail down upon your head, nearly
knocking you unconscious.
You vision is thrown off kilter as an Ur'Guard Grand Marshal smites you hard in
the face with a brutal swing of her flail.

You move sluggishly into action.

A heavy stone hand seems to slowly rise from the very ground before it quickly

You writhe in pain as you fall to level 38.
You sigh in frustration as you fall to the level of Superior.

You shuffle off the last remaining ties to your mortal coil and set your soul
free to begin its journey...

Your mana drains away as you concentrate on maintaining a link with the living.

<>Not daring to believe your luck, you hug yourself and pinch your arms. Indeed,
you are alive and whole. Was your death but a dream? No, it is still vivid in
your mind, though memories of the afterlife are becoming hazy. Except one
memory lingers and nags at you. Why did Atropos say that she doubts you'll
thank her for saving you in the end?

(Ur'guard): You say, "..."

(Ur'guard): Alger says, "Explain yourself."

(Ur'guard): Rakor says, "What?"

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue shouts, "Let it be known that Guido is no longer
safe in Magnagora....slay him as you will, as you all have before."

(Ur'guard): Alger says, "Im talking to guido."

(Ur'guard): Daevos says, "He was talking to Guido."

You shout, "Damn you, Bricriu! You've ruined everything! You and the traitor
Erion! I'll see yo all burn!"

(Ur'guard): You say, "Go on, outguild me. I have no chance."

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue shouts, "Perhaps, my lovely little tae'dae, you
should use that so called intelligence you claim to have, and should have
considered I would work to protect what I affiliate myself with. You Fool."

(Ur'guard): Alger says, "If i outguild you your crimes will be double fold and
will be hunted as a traitor to the ur'guard."

(Ur'guard): You say, "Bricriu branded me a traitor for beseeching Ashtorath to
stop Luciphage from interfering with the new Disciples of Crow."

(Ur'guard): Alger says, "And you sought to bring war to our demon lords to do
this?"

(Ur'guard): You say, "Indeed."

(Ur'guard): Alger says, "I have some advice for you guido."

(Ur'guard): Alger says, "Hide."

Alger has ejected you from the Ur'Guard.

Murphy tells you, "Follow me."

You begin to follow Murphy.

Apprentice Icantor says, "I can summon him back to the nexus if you'd like."

You see Murphy say something, but his voice is drowned out by the wind.

Murphy searches the air in front of him, then tugs upon an invisible strand of
force.

You follow Enforcer Murphy Carthan, Advocate of Damnation ether to centre of
the Necropolis.

Tenqual gives you the once over.

l
Centre of the Necropolis.
It is difficult to detect any features of the room, due to the powerful field
of energy that is put out by the Megalith of Doom, absorbing all but the
darkest of colours and dominating everything else in the room. The architecture
of the room is designed to accommodate the Megalith of Doom with a high dome
that forms the entire ceiling. A circular series of steps descends three tiers
down to the indentation in the centre of the room where the Megalith stands.
Four archways lead out of the room to the other areas of the Necropolis, where
candles and other illumination can barely be detected through the powerful
force of the Megalith. Rising up from cracks in the floor, the Megalith of Doom
towers above everything here, polluting the air with its foul fumes. The Keeper
of the Megalith stands here radiating a tainted presence. A painting of a
Scepter of Mystic Might is proudly exhibited on a nearby wall. The fossilized
remains of Tuatha are here. There are 15 Ur'Guard Grand Marshals here. A sigil
in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. The fossilized
remains of Folken are here. A long, kite-shaped shield lies on the ground here.
A tame wakabi lounges here, preening its feathers without a care in the world.
Viscount Alger, Commandant of the Tower is here. He wields an elegant silver
rapier in his left hand and an eloquent silver rapier in his right. Magistra
Arilyon d'Irande, Tempest Arcanus is here. She wields a twisted staff in her
left hand and a tower shield in her right. Pupil Morthe is here. Acolyte Torak,
Supplicant of Hatred is here. Acolyte Yuya, Apprentice of Nil is here. She is
surrounded by one reflection of herself. Death Trooper Marsu is here. He wields
a brutal war hammer in each hand. Talented Chef Tenqual is here. He wields a
twisted staff in his left hand and an iron shield in his right.
You see exits leading north, east, south, and west.

Erion spits in your face.

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "Trash."

Enforcer Murphy Carthan, Advocate of Damnation says, "Right."

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "Worse than Elfen."

Bricriu strokes your right leg and chants harshly, causing the flesh to shrivel
to the bone.

Enforcer Murphy Carthan, Advocate of Damnation says, "Guido."

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "Not worthy to piss in a Merian's bath
water."

You turn your back on Erion and pointedly ignore him.

Bricriu strokes your left leg and chants harshly, causing the flesh to shrivel
to the bone.

Bricriu strokes your right arm and chants harshly, causing the flesh to shrivel
to the bone.

Bricriu strokes your left arm and chants harshly, causing the flesh to shrivel
to the bone.

You say, "Have your fun..."

Viscount Alger D'Tylmirande, Commandant of the Tower says, "Tell me guido."

You peer at Alger unscrupulously.

Bricriu hurls a tarot card with the image of the Hanged Man on it at you. As it
reaches you, a huge mass of rope bursts out of it, entrapping and hindering
you.

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "We don't want you moving, now."

Enforcer Murphy Carthan, Advocate of Damnation says, "Guido, for your crimes
against the Demonlords."

Bricriu winks knowingly.

Viscount Alger D'Tylmirande, Commandant of the Tower says, "How many deaths do
you think justifies your betrayal."

You say, "That depends, /Sir/. Do I get a wonderful little ceremony for each
one?"

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "For your crimes against a Citymate, a City
Minister, a Guild admin of the Nihilists, against Lord Luciphage, and Nil
itself..."

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "Of course. I get to piss on your
corpse each time, too."

Valtyn chuckles long and heartily.

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "I condemn you to see death at every possible
moment."

Corbenic arrives from the east.

Lusien steps out of the Megalith of Doom, trailing sparkling motes of light.

Sethvir snickers softly to himself.

Bricriu, the Poison Tongue says, "May your life be short, as our vengeance
shall not!"

Bricriu begins to chant in a deep and baleful voice, and an iron cross rises up
from the ground before you. Vicious spikes slam into your flesh and nail you to
the cross. You scream in pain and agony as blood is splattered in all
directions.

You cackle hellishly.

Enforcer Murphy Carthan, Advocate of Damnation says, "I will not tolerate such
crimes within my ranks, and we will not tolerate it within Magnagora."

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

Acolyte Erion, Bane of the Gentry says, "Others chant, let him live till he is
sacrificed."

You bleed like a stuck pig upon the iron cross.

You say, "Have your way with me, fiends!"

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

You bleed like a stuck pig upon the iron cross.

solidifies and rebuilds itself.

You bleed like a stuck pig upon the iron cross.

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

Torak chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

You bleed like a stuck pig upon the iron cross.

You see Bricriu, the Poison Tongue shout, "Die."

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

You say, "You'll all burn! I'll tear you apart!"

Erion chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

Torak chants softly, and your body momentarily becomes transparent, then
solidifies and rebuilds itself.

Bricriu looms over you and plunges her hands into your chest, ripping out your
heart. As the last drops of your life trickle away, you watch helplessly as she
offers up the bloody organ to the Demon Lords of Nil, and then laughs
ecstatically as monstrous dark shadows wrap around her.
You have been slain by Bricriu.

Erion spits in your face.

You say, "F..."

You say, "F'ai Glomdoring..."
