Just found this rather appalling. Serenguard Ixion! Well, almost.

Wow, quite an honor to even be compared to Ixion. Druthalus hasn't met him yet really, but I've read quite a bit about him here. You hermitted out of there just an instant before I swung again...it was pretty close hehe.
Yrael2005-03-06 10:11:22
You're Druthalus? Bleck.
Amaru2005-03-06 12:33:13
Yea it seems Druthalus is one of those played-before fighters who doesn't mess around. He makes a character, bashes it on Astral to level 80 or something, buys a tons of skills and slaughters right from the start. Expect big things?
Unknown2005-03-06 12:46:50
His damage isn't that high yet. Wait till it reaches the "retarded amount of damage" level. Retarded also means, "probably next to be nerfed".
Ceres2005-03-06 13:17:02
1.6k per combo, stopped by rebounding and shield.

Sounds less good than my Aquamancer staffpoint, to me.

So do I. Maybe if I could kill someone......
Amaru2005-03-06 14:45:15
Nah, beat anyone and you just become cheap and overpowered. Better to lose gracefully, then people admire you for your skill and for 'taking the hard path'.
Manjanaia2005-03-06 14:47:16
Oh yeah I know. Damn you Amaru for using your skills effectively in order to kill your opponent as quickly and easily as possible.

Actually, my characters in other realms were NOT fighters. I was usually a big nobody. In Achaea I was a secretary for awhile, owned a shop, and was a part-time thief. I don't thnk I ever made it past level 70, only killed a handfull of people in the year and a half I was there. I had a lot of friends though, and enjoyed myself all the same.

In imperian it was sort of the same story. I think I made it to level 70-72, but again I rarely fought. When I did it was in a group or with some sort of advantage (surprised, cornered, etc). No one ever really sat down and taught me to fight.

In other realms, fighting for the most part wasn't encouraged. You could only fight on one day a year without receiving crap for it, or in the arena. I love it here where you can dabble in fighting a bit every day if you so desire; villages, random raids, other planes, etc. My mentor Malicia has been great answering questions and pointing me to the right places to learn how to fight (ghelp files, clan files, etc). I'm hoping to finally learn how to fight and cure well, and do something in this realm aside from watch everyone else be the hero, or the villain I suppose, all depends on which side of the blade you're on. laugh.gif

Though I havn't tried it yet, from what I understad Knight damage is easily blocked with rebounding and shield. If they nerfed knight damage, blademasters would have absolutely nothing in their arsenal.

It's pretty sweet, I must admit. Thanks for noticing Druthalus! biggrin.gif

1.6k per combo giving wounds and possible afflictions too. So the person has to eventually choose between healing his wounds (If not they can lead to very nasty afflictions) or healing his health. Shield can stop staffpoint too, so only rebounding is the added problem. Naw, 1.6k damage from weapons is far worse than 1.6k damage from a staffpoint.
Ceres2005-03-06 18:36:19
This is true, actually. Wounds make it nasty.
Yrael2005-03-06 22:34:56
Just to clarify, I wasnt bitching. Just noting the appaling amount of damage he does.

Atta boy Druthalus. My protege smile.gif

I posted his weapon stats in another thread. His swords are incredible.
Ixion2005-03-07 00:53:38
I still pwn his damage and speed sword stats smile.gif Fairly close though.

Malicia: How many points are on the buck in your sig??
Yrael2005-03-09 00:36:11
I take it all back. Icarus did more damage than Ixion, even when I removed the 10% damage he got from his blessing. All hail Icarus, Damage Whore of Lusternia!
